Chapter 39. The Short Trip

The coldness in the wind and my body being in a totally bad shape, have refrained me from shifting. My Aunt could have just sent me home by myself but she insisted on making me more uncomfortable by allowing Alpha Xander to carry me into his car. I fix myself and am still confused if I should just back away or continue to put myself on his fluffy back.

He bends his wolf down to give me easy access to his back. The soft hair felt warm as I place my hand and pull myself on top of him. My legs wrapped around his comfy back and the way it made me feel have my heart skip as soon as he started walking.

"I hope you are feeling comfortable back there Princess."

The humor in his words did not amuse me a tiny bit. I hated to be called Princess but until I get a hold of the badge in my hand, I have to hold my temper.

"Thank you, Alpha Xander, it was unfortunate that the traps my father and the warriors have set up almost caught me. It drained my well-trained wolf body from shifting ag
