Theo POV

If anybody laid eyes on me now, they would not be staring at a random rogue, looking for trouble in the woods. They would be staring at Theo Hart, Beta of the Autumn Moon.

I rubbed my face and neck frantically. Like that would bring back the dead wolf furs that masked my appearance before.

How long had my face been bare like this?The masks must have fallen off during the fight. Shıt! Ramos saw me. So did the other guy.

I lost interest in my tracking mission. No point in going further. The whole thing was a blatant failure. Liam had gotten away, and his escorts saw my face.

Damn it! This could get problematic. For Nox, especially. His father would surely think he sent me.

I raced back to the point of the ambush, expecting to meet Conan on the way. Or at least he would be sticking around the wounded warrior.

There was no sign of the two where I left them. I was about to scream his name like idıot, but quickly caught myself.
