Chapter 18 Turmoil

Chelsea’s POV

I woke up to find that Ethan was no longer on bed with me, he already left the house. I groaned, pulling the duvet over my face, a smile creeping across my face as memories of last night flooded my thoughts. Just then, my phone chimed with a message, interrupting the tranquil moment and it was my best friend, Vivian. “Party at my place by 10, don’t be late,” the text read.

I sighed; I wasn’t ready to face the outside world as I craved solitude, not the company of crowd. I crafted an excuse declining her invitation but she sent another message.

“You don’t have to worry about the crowd,” she reassured. “I’m going solo. Just the two of us.”

It was as if she could sense my reluctance. After several hours of sifting through my wardrobe, I finally settled on a perfect dress for Vivian’s solo party. “I think I will go with this one,” I mustered in my thought, admiring myself in the mirror with a satisfied smile.

I made my way to Vivian’s house, she greeted me with a glas
