Chapter 21 Whispers in the shadows

As I sat in the hospital waiting room, fidgeting with the edges of an outdated magazine waiting for my mom to be discharged, a stranger approached me, he was dressed in jeans and a hospital shirt and I guess he is one of the hospital workers. He slipping a folded piece of paper into my hand with a fleeting glance. Confused, I waited until he disappeared around the corner before unfolding the note, my heart pounding in anticipation.
