Chelsea's POV

Jason exited first and headed into the private room where my mother was admitted. I followed suit, locking the door behind me, my gaze fixed on him with a mix of anger and desperation.

"You did this, didn't you?" I accused, my voice trembling with emotion as tears welled up in my eyes.

He turned to face me, his expression unreadable. At first, he seemed to brush off my accusation with a chuckle, but then he closed the window screen, blocking out any prying eyes.

"You thought I was bluffing?" He said. My heart pounded in my chest, fear gripping me as I struggled to find my voice.

"Is he for real right now?" I muttered to myself, feeling a surge of panic rising within me. I grabbed onto a nearby chair for support as my legs were trembling and feeling weak beneath me.

"Do you really love her as you claimed?" I pressed, my voice barely above a whisper, my eyes pleading with him for answers. "Does she know?"
