Chapter 47

“Alright, I’ll call you later.”

Ella is working in her office. She is now awaiting an update from her troops who are out in the field and who are keeping surveillance surrounding the building and within it. Rafael hasn’t shown up yet, and nothing out of the ordinary has happened.

“There is no sign of the killer in the area, ma’am,” a police officer said from her desk.

She nodded and let the person out. Ella set the two elbows down on the table, brought both of her hands together, and rested them on her forehead. When the killer doesn’t show up after a week, they have to stop the operation and leave Simon with Luna.

When the phone rang, she immediately turned to answer it. Luna calls her. Before she picked up the phone, she took a deep breath.

“Luna, something has happened?” Ella asked.

“Yeah..”

“Is Rafael there?” Ella asked, surprised.

“No!” Luna suddenly answered on the other line.

“What do you mean then?”

“We are now at the mall and the jewelry shop.”
