Chapter 8

My Perfect Abrupt Marriage

Chapter 8

Cardyn's

I don't know why Wilson saw Kurt when I just saw him recently. But well, wealthy people are different. They could fly right now wherever they wanted unlike those who work harder than those who were naturally born with a golden spoon in their mouths.

I wonder what I will do once I have a really big cash in my hands. I smiled at my thoughts, dismissing them away and focusing on my work again.

My work was peaceful although sometimes, customers were rude. That was occasionally so I hope I won't encounter them today to ruin my mood. Nevertheless, I hope Wilson and Elena are having the best times of their life right now since they’re newly married.

I saw Linda come inside with a grin on her face. Truly a lady with both virtue and cuteness.

“Linda, you’ve come.” I greeted her to which she waved her hand, quickly waving at me as a greeting.

“Manager. You arrived earlier than me today. Did something good happen?”

I beamed at her, shrugged my shoulders, “Nothing, really. I just had a good night sleep, so my moon was better.”

Linda sighed, “Aiya. Talk about good night’s sleep.”

“Did something happen?”

She released another depressed sigh. I don’t know why I am befriending her but maybe because since Elena and Wilson got together so I shouldn’t meddle into their business anymore. We can hang out but there will always be a boundary between us because it feels awkward. Moreover, when I am the only one who knew my feelings for Wilson.

We were once good best friends.

“My boyfriend and I argued over something so small. It caused me to think I was being so anxious.”

I approached her, patting her shoulder. “Don’t be. If you’re anxious about something, it’s normal that you reach out to your boyfriend and address the problem.”

Linda shook her head. “That was what I wanted to do but his house… I found him alone with his girl best friend!”

I gasped, covering my mouth in astonishment. This is exactly why I don’t want to be in Elena and Wilson’s relationship because there’s a high-risk Elena will get jealous over me and fight with Wilson. It might even cause to her yelling to between me and her which truly is a nuisance.

I asked Linda, “A girl best friend is not a problem but her intention. Maybe it was coincidental that you found them together. What if they had something to deal with?”

Linda held my hand dejectedly, lowering her head, “I know what you mean. Hm, I only wish what you said was right, though.”

I beamed at her, “Of course, it’s yours to judge whether your boyfriend and his best friend has a thing together. Since I am not in the situation, I recommend that you observe or ask him.”

Linda nodded her head, “I would try if his anger had placated now.”

I patted her head with admiration. Sometimes we do dumb things for the people we care and love in our lives, it doesn’t matter if it was small or big. What matters was the fact that we’re doing it for them.

“In any case, don’t try to stoop low if something is truly going on.”

“I know. Thank you, Manager~”

I giggled at her, “Please call me Cardyn.”

“All right!”

After work, the same driver I saw last night took me home, Daniel’s home that is. I didn’t complain knowing it does nothing of different. I am still adapting to the new environment especially the maids who were particularly very polite with me. I wouldn’t care about them, but I just feel like I was belittling their rights as people.

I am aware it’s their duty but it’s just look uneasy seeing someone bowing their heads at me, putting me in a higher place than them. I knew exactly the feeling of needing to bow your head to someone.

I smiled at the Head Maid. “How was your day, Head Maid?”

She bowed her head at me, “It’s awesome, Madame. We had changed the duvet in your room so please tell me if I need to alter it again.”

I tilted my head, “Duvet? Why did you change it?”

She giggled, “Ah, you’ve used it last night. It’s already dirty.”

I opened my mouth, wanting to say something but then closed it again. I fear if I say something, it will go no good again, so I zipped my mouth. Back in my mother’s house, we use it for good one-two weeks before washing it again. I guess, I need time to get used to new things here.
