CHAPTER SEVEN – Waiting

Stella's POV

I looked at my phone for what felt like the tenth time.

Twenty minutes. Jaxon had said he would only be a few minutes.

I sighed softly and looked toward the arena entrance again.

"How long does it take to talk to a coach?" I muttered to myself.

Players walked past me one after another, some carrying hockey bags over their shoulders while others laughed with their teammates.

Every time the door opened, I lifted my head, hoping to see Jaxon.

Every time, it was someone else, I shifted my weight from one foot to the other and smiled to myself. "I guess this is what waiting for an Alpha feels like."

The thought made me laugh quietly. The smile was still on my face when I noticed someone staring at me.

A young woman stood a few steps away with her phone in her hand.

She looked from the screen… Then back at me

Her eyes slowly widened. "Oh my ..."

She whispered to the person beside her. "It's her."

I frowned slightly.

Her friend looked at the phone before looking at me. "It really is her."

Within seconds, both of them started walking toward me. "Excuse me," one of them said.

"Are you Stella?"

I hesitated before nodding . "Yes."

The two girls exchanged excited looks. "So the pictures are real."

My eyebrows pulled together. "What pictures?"

Instead of answering, one of them turned her phone around.

My heart skipped. On the screen was a picture of Jaxon and me skating together yesterday, another picture showed him smiling at me, anoother showed us laughing.l

The headline read: THE HOCKEY KING'S NEW WOMAN?

Before I could react, more people noticed us. "That's her."

"The girl from the news."

People began stopping where they were.

Some whispered, others openly stared.

I suddenly felt uncomfortable, a man walked closer, shaking his head. "I don't get it."

Another laughed. "Jaxon could have anyone."

"So why her?"

A woman folded her arms. "She's too fat for him."

Someone else laughed loudly. "Maybe Chase dumped her, so she decided to chase someone more famous."

The words made my chest tighten, another voice joined in. "Poor Jaxon."

"He probably doesn't know what he's getting himself into."

Laughter spread through the crowd, I lowered my eyes, pretending not to hear them but the insults kept coming. "Look at her.".

"She doesn't even fit beside him."

"She'll only embarrass him."

"No one wants a woman like that."

More people gathered, phones were raised.

Some pointed at me while whispering, others didn't even bother lowering their voices.

My hands slowly tightened around the strap of my bag, I only needed Jaxon to come back.

Just a little longer… Then I heard another familiar voice."Move aside."

The crowd immediately parted. Kelly from the wolf world, walked through the people with confidence, a satisfied smile already on her face, she looked at me for a long moment before laughing.

"I was wondering when everyone would find out."

She looked around at the crowd. "Since you're all so curious..."

She smiled proudly. "I should introduce myself.". "I'm Jaxon's girlfriend."

A wave of murmurs spread through the crowd.

Kelly looked at me with mock sympathy. "As for her..."

"She's just a girl Jaxon felt sorry for."

My heart sank.

Kelly took another step toward me. "Did you really think someone like Jaxon would choose you?"

Her eyes slowly moved over my body.."You couldn't keep Chase."

"What makes you think you can keep Jaxon?"

The crowd laughed again, I bit my lip and looked away.

Kelly wasn't finished. "You should know your place, you are too fat for a man like him and when Jaxon gets tired of pretending..."

She smiled cruelly.. "...you'll be alone again."

My eyes began to sting, I refused to cry, nt here, not again.

Kelly stepped so close that I could feel her breath.

Then, without warning….Slap!

My head turned sharply from the force, the entire crowd fell silent.

A burning pain spread across my cheek, I slowly raised my hand to touch it.

Before anyone spoke...

A deep voice cut through the silence. "Let her go."

The crowd froze,

evvery head turned toward the arena entrance.

Jaxon had arrived.

  • My Plus-Sized Hockey Luna   Let Her Go

CHAPTER SIX – Let Her GoStella’s POV“Let her go.”Jaxon’s voice was calm, yet the words settled over the arena with a quiet authority that made the air feel heavier. For a brief moment, nobody moved.Even Chase remained where he was, his eyes fixed on Jaxon. Then a slow smile spread across his face. “You are talking to me?” he asked, letting out a short laugh.Jaxon did not answer immediately. He simply stood beside me, his expression unreadable, his hockey stick resting loosely in one hand as though he had not spoken at all.Chase looked from Jaxon to me before shaking his head. “This is between Stella and me.”His voice became firmer. “She’s my girlfriend.”Before Jaxon could respond, I heard my own voice. “No.”Both men looked at me.I took a slow breath before speaking again. “I’m not your girlfriend anymore.”The words were difficult to say, but once they left my mouth, something inside me felt lighter.Chase stared at me in disbelief. For a second, he looked as though he had h

  • My Plus-Sized Hockey Luna   Back On The Ice

CHAPTER FIVE – Back on the IceStella's POVI remained where I was long after Jaxon left the room.My eyes stayed fixed on the closed door, but my thoughts were somewhere else. His last words kept replaying inside my head."You never have to apologize for crying."A small smile appeared on my lips before disappearing again. No one had ever said something like that to me. Whenever I cried, people either laughed, ignored me, or told me I was being too sensitive, even Chase hated seeing me cry.He always said I was too emotional, he would sigh impatiently and tell me to stop making everything difficult.Somehow, I had convinced myself that he was right. Now I was not so sure anymore.I lowered my eyes to the tray sitting on the table. The bowl was almost empty, I had actually eaten. It was only a little, but it was more than I thought I could manage. For some reason, that felt like a small victory.I stood up slowly and carried the tray to the table near the window. The room felt strangely

  • My Plus-Sized Hockey Luna   Picking Up The Pieces

CHAPTER FOUR – Picking Up the PiecesJaxon's POVI stood outside the guest room with my hand resting on the doorknob, but I could not bring myself to open it.The maid had already told me she had not touched the dinner that was taken to her. She had thanked them politely, closed the door, and had not come out again. At first, I thought she simply wanted to be alone. Now, as I stood outside the room, I realized that was not the reason.I could hear her crying. The sound was soft, almost like she was trying to hide it, but i still heard it . Every broken breath, every shaky sob, every painful silence that followed felt heavier than the last.My wolf became restless. It wanted me to go to her, I remained where I was for another moment, I had never been good at comforting people. I knew how to lead my pack, how to make difficult decisions, and how to stand in front of my enemies without fear. But this… This was different, I did not know how to mend a broken heart.Still, walking away did

CHAPTER THREE - She's the one Jaxon’s POVI was about to leave the arena when the noise behind me slowly began to fade into something I no longer cared about. The match had ended, the crowd was still reacting, and my team was still celebrating somewhere behind the glass walls, but my mind was already elsewhere. I adjusted my grip on my bag and walked through the corridor that led toward the exit, trying to ignore the weight that always came with these places.Because leaving the hockey world was never truly leaving.Outside of it, something else waited, a pack that never stopped asking questions, a council that never stopped demanding answers and a future I had never agreed to.As Alpha, they all wanted the same thing from me, a mate, a bond, a continuation of bloodlines and politics and power I never asked for. Every meeting, every gathering, every quiet conversation ended in the same direction. Kelly. The Beta’s daughter, she was always presented like a solution. A perfect mat

  • My Plus-Sized Hockey Luna   The Betrayal

CHAPTER TWO - The Betrayal Stella’s POVThe jacket was still warm on my shoulders as I stood outside Chase’s door.My hands trembled slightly as I stared at it, trying to steady my breathing. Everything that had happened earlier still felt unreal. The fall, the laughter in the stadium, the humiliation that spread through the crowd like fire, and the way I had walked away while everyone watched me break and then Jaxon. The way he had covered me without asking anything.I swallowed hard and told myself I needed to see Chase. I needed to believe there was an explanation for everything that happened. He always told me to be smart, so maybe he did not understand how bad it looked, maybe he thought I was fine, maybe he was just angry about the game.I lifted my hand and knocked softly.“Chase…” I said quietly. “It’s me.There was no answer at first, I waited, my heart still felt heavy, still tangled in confusion, still holding onto the version of him I had always believed inThere was no a
