CHAPTER 169: COVER UP

Mercy blinked against the glare of the sun as she and Logan stepped off the helicopter pad. The rotors whipped her hair wildly around her face.

Logan took her hand. "Don't worry," Logan shouted over the sound of the chopper blades. "Once this Mascu junk wears off, we'll tell the Alpha King everything."

Mercy grabbed his arm, her nails digging in. "No! I already told you. We can't. We have to keep it a secret. Please Logan. Promise me."

The events of the past hour were almost too much for Mercy to process. The awful potions, the people chained up. She’d discovered just how dangerous Sephora really was.
