Madeline’s P.O.V. (Continued)

“I am okay, Maddie. Just tired,” he comforted me, but his face went pale.

I immediately looked at his exposed skin on his neck for any mark or anything like that.

My eyes widened in shock when I saw two tiny red marks at the junction of his shoulder and neck.

I growled aloud angrily while looking around.

I slowly made him sit down comfortably and looked for anyone around us.

“Hey, please help us.” I yelled when I saw two pups coming out of an alley.

They stopped immediately and soon they ran towards us.

“What happened, Maddie?” John, one of those pups, who also knew me, asked me worriedly.

“Mind-link Nathan. Tell him that Hank is poisoned.” I instructed him and started pinching that ruptured place on the neck.

“O… okay,” he replied while another pup squatted down on the other side of Hank.

“Is he okay?” he asked me worriedly.

“He is, pup. It’s just poisoning, not wolfsbane. I am sure that he will be okay in a few minutes. Can you have anything sharp?” I
