POV: Ethan

I stood in the driveway with a cardboard box pressed against my chest, staring at the big house that was supposed to be my new home. The sun beat down on my neck, and sweat already stuck my shirt to my back. Mom laughed at something her new husband said, her voice bright like I had not heard in years. She looked happy. Really happy. That should have made me glad, but it only twisted something tight in my gut.

This whole thing had happened fast. One minute it was just the two of us in our old apartment, the next she was flashing a ring and talking about blended families. I had met Mark a few times before the wedding, but today was the first time I would actually live with him. And with his son.

The front door swung open and Lucas stepped out. I knew who he was right away. Everyone at my old school knew Lucas from the rival basketball team across town. Tall, broad shoulders, easy confidence in the way he moved. He wore a plain gray t-shirt and shorts, hair still messy like he had just rolled out of bed even though it was past noon. He jogged down the steps and grabbed two boxes from the trunk without being asked.

"Hey," he said, nodding at me as he passed. His voice sounded casual, like this was no big deal.

I mumbled something back and followed him inside. The house smelled like fresh paint and lemon cleaner. Boxes sat stacked in the living room. Mark clapped me on the shoulder when I set my load down.

"Welcome home, Ethan. We're glad you're here."

Mom beamed at both of us. "The boys are the same age. Senior year together. This is going to be great."

I forced a smile. Great. Sure.

Mark led us upstairs to show the rooms. The master bedroom had their stuff already unpacked. The guest room was empty except for a desk. "We're turning this into a home office," Mark explained. "So the boys can share the big room for now. Plenty of space."

My stomach dropped. Share a room. With him.

Lucas shrugged like it did not matter. "Two beds, right? No problem."

The room was bigger than my old one, with windows looking over the backyard. Two twin beds sat on opposite walls. A shared bathroom connected through a door on the side. My side already had my art supplies stacked in the corner because Mom had sent some boxes ahead. Sketchbooks, pencils, a couple of canvases leaned against the wall.

Lucas dropped the boxes he carried onto the empty bed. "You paint or something?"

"Yeah," I said, keeping my eyes on the floor.

"Cool." He did not sound like he meant it much, but he did not sound mean either. Just neutral. Like he was sizing me up the same way I was sizing him.

Our parents left to run errands after that. They wanted to give us time to "settle in and get to know each other." Mom hugged me tight before she went. "This is a fresh start for all of us," she whispered. I nodded because what else could I do?

When the door closed behind them, the house felt too quiet. I started unpacking my clothes into the dresser on my side. Lucas blasted music from his phone while he tossed his own stuff around. He did not fold anything. Just shoved shirts and shorts into drawers.

I kept my back to him most of the time. Every time he moved, I noticed. The way his arms flexed when he lifted a box. The low hum he made under his breath when the song changed. I told myself it was just nerves. New house, new people, new everything. But my cheeks felt warm anyway.

Dinner that night was takeout pizza at the kitchen table. Our parents talked nonstop about the wedding and their honeymoon plans. Mark kept saying how nice it was to have a full house again. Lucas sat across from me, eating like he had not seen food in days. He caught me looking once and raised an eyebrow. I looked down at my plate fast.

After we cleared the table, our parents announced they were going out for a date. "You boys behave," Mom said with a wink. "We'll be back late."

The door clicked shut and it was just us.

I went upstairs and sat on my bed with a sketchbook. I did not feel like drawing anything specific. Just needed something to do with my hands. Lucas came in a few minutes later, kicked off his shoes, and flopped onto his bed. He scrolled on his phone for a while, then set it aside.

The silence stretched. I could hear the clock ticking downstairs.

I kept my pencil moving across the page, drawing random lines that did not add up to anything. My mind kept circling back to the same thought. This guy was my stepbrother now. We would eat breakfast together, go to the same school, share a bathroom. And I could not stop noticing how the room felt smaller with him in it.

Lucas shifted on his mattress. The springs creaked. "You always this quiet, or are you just scared you will like living here too much?"

  • My Stepbrother, My Sin   Chapter Fifteen: Messing Around

POV: EthanI stared at the message on my phone, my heart beating fast. “I just arrived. Where are you?” The words from Julian made my stomach twist. What the hell was he doing here? He was not supposed to show up at my new school. I had ignored his texts for days, hoping he would get the message and stay away. Now he was here, in the same building, waiting for me.I kept walking down the hallway without looking up, my mind racing. Why now? After everything with Lucas, the last thing I needed was Julian appearing and making things more complicated. My thumb hovered over the reply button, but I did not know what to say.I didn't see where I was going. My shoulder slammed hard into something solid, like a wall. My phone flew from my hand and hit the floor. I looked up quickly, ready to apologize, but my words died in my throat. It was not a wall. It was Lucas. He stood there, tall and broad, holding my phone in his hand. His eyes were dark as he looked at the screen. My heart jumped.“Ar

  • My Stepbrother, My Sin   Chapter Fourteen: Nothing Serious

POV: Lucas“Who the fuck is Julian?” I asked again, my voice low and sharp. The movie credits were still rolling on the TV, but I no longer cared about the film. My hand stayed tight on Ethan’s knee as I stared at him, waiting. The name on his phone screen had lit something ugly inside me.Ethan quickly turned the phone face down and shifted away slightly. “It’s not something important,” he said, his voice quiet. “I have a reason for keeping it like that.”I leaned forward, heart pounding. “A reason? Since when do you keep secrets from me, Ethan? We live in the same room. We share everything now. Or at least I thought we did.”He looked uncomfortable, eyes fixed on the dark TV screen. “It’s from my old school. Just someone I used to know. Nothing serious.”His words didn't calm me. If anything, they made the discomfort grow. I couldn't help but wonder when this started. When had Ethan begun hiding parts of himself from me? The thought twisted in my gut. I had not seen him with any gir

  • My Stepbrother, My Sin   Chapter Thirteen: Say My Name

POV: LucasEthan was on his knees. The sight of him like that, naked, flushed, eyes wide with shame and desperate need hit me harder than any game-winning shot ever could. My cock throbbed painfully against my loosened pants as I stared down at him. He looked so fucking conflicted, lips parted, chest rising fast, like part of him still wanted to run. But he didn’t. He stayed right there, trembling.“Crawl to me,” I repeated, voice low and rough. “Say my name.”His face burned red. I saw the fight in his eyes, the way his hands clenched on the floor. He hated this. Hated how much he wanted it. But slowly, painfully, he started moving forward on his hands and knees, whispering brokenly, “Lucas… Lucas, please…”Each crawl made my blood run hotter. When he finally reached me, I tangled my fingers in his messy hair and guided his mouth to my cock. The first wet heat of his lips wrapping around me pulled a deep groan from my throat. He was hesitant at first, but then he took me deeper, t

  • My Stepbrother, My Sin   Chapter Twelve: I Tried To Push Him Away

POV: EthanLucas held my wrists tight above my head, pinning me against the wall. My heart pounded so hard I could feel it in my throat. His body pressed into mine, hot and solid, and I could barely breathe. The towel had slipped off completely, leaving me naked while he was still fully dressed. His eyes locked on mine, dark and full of something I couldn’t name.I breathed hard, chest rising and falling fast. My mind spun. Why did this feel so familiar? The pressure of his hands, the way his hips pushed against me, the heat of his breath on my neck. It was exactly like the dream. But the longer I stared at him, the clearer it became. That wasn’t a dream. It had really happened. We had done this before. Lucas had been inside me, touching me, making me moan his name. And he had pretended like nothing changed between us.The realization hit me like a wave. My face burned. “It wasn’t… it wasn’t a dream,” I whispered.Lucas’s lips curved into a small, dangerous smile. He didn’t deny it.

  • My Stepbrother, My Sin   Chapter Eleven: What if I don’t?

POV: EthanI grabbed my bag from the narrow infirmary bed, slinging it over my shoulder with more force than necessary. My hands were still shaking. The nurse had left ten minutes ago, muttering something about resting, but I couldn’t stay in that room another second. Not with Lucas’s voice still echoing in my head from earlier. Not with the memory of his body pressed too close against mine in the empty hallway, his breath hot on my ear as he whispered things no stepbrother should ever say. That idiot really has his way to annoy me.I pushed open the door and stepped into the quiet hallway, jaw clenched so tight it hurt. The school was mostly empty now, the final bell long gone. I hated how my skin still tingled where his fingers had brushed my wrist.I headed downstairs, feet moving fast on the stairs. Then I saw him.Lucas was leaning against the wall near the exit, arms crossed, looking effortlessly cool in his basketball jersey. He straightened when he saw me, like he’d been wait

  • My Stepbrother, My Sin   Chapter 10: I Imagined Leaning Over Him

POV: LucasI sat at the back of the class, arms crossed, eyes locked on Ethan’s neck. There it was — a fresh bruise, dark against his skin, just above his collar. My jaw tightened. I had warned that idiot to stay out of my circle. Told him clearly to keep his head down and not get involved in my shit. But he wouldn’t listen. How the hell did he even pick a fight with Tyler? If he hadn’t jumped in and stopped us in the basement, none of this would’ve happened. The thought made my blood boil. No one else has the right to touch Ethan. No one else gets to hit him, mark him, or even look at him the wrong way. That right belonged to me only.I stared at him, frustration building in my chest. Why was he so different? Why did he have to show up in my life, mess with my head, and make everything complicated? He sat there with his head bowed the whole lecture, shoulders hunched like he was trying to disappear. It pissed me off even more.Mrs. Harper noticed too. “Ethan? Are you paying attention

POV: LucasI was still grinning like an idiot when I rolled my bike onto school grounds, the morning sun warm on my back.
