Chapter 8

~Nivea

"Hi, I'm Leonora. What's your name?" The redhead seated next to me asked, her hand stretched out in a handshake as she smiled at me.

"I'm Nivea," I answered, giving her a smile in return, as I clasped her pale hand gently.

"Cool name," She responded, then started gisting me about all the lecturers and the courses we were meant to take.

We were in History 216 class, and most of the seats were already occupied as the lecturer was running late.

I glanced at the time again, and Leonara noticed.

"Dr. Joe is never late to class, maybe something came up. I'm sure he will be here soon,"

No sooner had she said this, than a man with salt and pepper hair walked into the class. He apologized for his lateness and the class got into study mode immediately.

I was officially starting my second year of college.

After two more classes, in which Leonora was also in the last one, we left the lecture hall together to visit the school cafeteria.
