CHAPTER 19-  I MIND

Kylie’s POV

I was about to scream out of fright but the person covered my mouth with their huge palm.

“Don't be scared, it's me.” Elijah spoke up, making me stop struggling at once. I called down and looked up to see his face illuminated by the faint light of the alley.

He let me go and stepped back. I asked, “Elijah? What are you doing here? Didn't you have a match today?”

“I had but I came back.” He said.

“What? Why? What happened?”

The guy did not answer my question and instead asked, “Where were you going?”

I clutched my bag tightly and looked away, “Nowhere.”

“Kylie.” He called me, “Tell me the damn truth.”

“Nowhere. It's none of your business.” I said and tried to divert the topic, “Why did you come back?”

The man pursed his lips, his expression getting serious. He said, “You are going for that nude model gig, aren't you?”

When I heard him say this, my eyes opened wide in shock. I stuttered, “How did you know that?”

“We live in the same damn house, Kylie. I have access to intern
