Author's POV

Nothing was enough to stop Vanessa. Her mind kept running wild with thoughts. It was either she separated Ava from her brothers or nothing else.

A lot had already happened; she had lost face before her brother, and as she sat there in the vast expanse of her room, she meditated on her next move.

In a reckless fling, she tossed herself on her soft mattress, her body sinking into the clean sheets, offering relaxation to her stressed muscles, yet her mind couldn't be at rest.

She buried her face in her pillow and let out a muffled cry. Each time, she felt as though she continuously lost to Ava, but she wasn't going to let that be her fate for much longer.

The warmly colored, dimly lit room and the faint smell of lilies weren't enough to take her mind off what bothered her so greatly.

"The end of a thing matters so much more than the beginning thereof," she whispered to herself, her resolve strengthened as she decided to try again.

Sigh...

She looked around and observed her

  • My Triplet Alphas   Chapter 193

Writer’s POVSarah walked slowly up the path to Zach’s house, her heart beating faster with each step. She had been surprised when he contacted her, asking to meet. They hadn’t spoken much since she started working at the pack house, and she couldn’t figure out what he might want from her.She got to the house and knocked on the front door, and waited. After a few moments, the door opened, but instead of Zach, she found herself face to face with the Beta, Zach’s father.“Good evening,” he said politely, looking at her with curious eyes. “You must be Sarah. Zach mentioned you might be coming by.”“Yes, sir,” Sarah replied, trying to sound confident even though she felt anything but. “Is Zach in?”“Of course, come in,” Zach’s father said, stepping aside to let her enter. “He’s upstairs getting ready. I’ll let him know you’re here.”Sarah stepped into the small living room, taking in the environment. “Thank you for having me in your home,” Sarah said, remembering her manners.Zach’s fat

  • My Triplet Alphas   Chapter 192

Zayne’s POVI dropped the picture immediately, like it had burned my fingers. The photograph fluttered to the floor, landing face up so we could all see the clear image of Marcus’s bloody corpse lying exactly where we had found him on our front doorstep.Steve and Irish both bent down to pick up the picture, their faces showing the same shock and horror that I was feeling.“Holy wolf,” Steve whispered, his voice barely audible as he stared at the photograph.Irish was turning the picture over in his hands, looking for any clues about who might have sent it. “There’s no name on it,” he said quietly.I needed to see if whoever had delivered this envelope was still around. Maybe they were still watching us, waiting to see our reaction. I rushed outside, looking up and down our street. But the street was empty. I came back inside, closing the door behind me and locking it firmly. My brothers were still standing in the living room, holding the photograph and the letter, their faces pale w

  • My Triplet Alphas   Chapter 191

Zayne’s POVWhen Steve came downstairs this morning and asked how far we got with our investigation, I knew he was anxious to hear what Irish and I had discovered at the party. I could see the hope in his eyes, the same hope I had been feeling when we first decided to go.I exchanged a quick glance with Irish before sitting down on the couch. We had agreed on the way home that we would tell Steve everything, even though the news wasn’t as good as we had hoped.“Well,” I began, running my hand through my hair, “we went to the party like we planned. The girls were there, just like they said they would be.”Steve leaned forward, waiting for me to continue.“We tried to be smart about it,” I explained. “We didn’t just walk up to them and start asking questions about the dead student. That would have been too obvious and suspicious.”Irish nodded in agreement. “We spent some time just talking to them normally first. You know, trying to fit in, acting like we were just there to have fun.”

Steve’s POVAva was finally asleep, but her hand was holding mine so tightly that I could barely feel my fingers anymore. She had gripped onto me like I was the only thing keeping her from drowning, and even in her sleep, she wouldn’t let go.I looked over at my brothers, who were sitting quietly in the living room chairs, both of them looking tired and worried.“Maybe we can still go to the party while Ava is sleeping,” Zayne said quietly, keeping his voice low so we wouldn’t wake her.I shook my head immediately. “What if she wakes up in the middle of the night? What if someone breaks into the house while we’re all gone?”The t

  • My Triplet Alphas   Chapter 189

Zayne’s POVAfter we all agreed to go to the party together, there was still one big problem we hadn’t solved. What were we going to tell Ava? We couldn’t just leave her at home alone. That wouldn’t be right, especially not now when she was still dealing with Vanessa’s death.I sat on the couch, thinking hard about our options. Irish was pacing around the living room. Steve was sitting in the chair across from me, running his hands through his hair.“We have to figure this out,” Steve said for the third time in ten minutes. “We can’t just disappear for hours without telling her where we’re going.”“I know that,” I replied, feeling frustrated. “But what are we supposed to say? That we’re going to a college party to investigate a dead body that we dumped in the forest?”Irish stopped pacing and looked at us. “Maybe we should just tell her we’re going out for a few hours. We don’t have to give her all the details.”“She’s not stupid, Irish,” I said. “She’ll want to know where we’re going

  • My Triplet Alphas   Chapter 188

Irish’s POVGetting back home from school felt like the longest walk ever. My mind kept going back to what happened in class, and I knew I was going to get an earful from my brothers about it. Steve had already made it clear on the way home that he thought I had acted stupidly, and I was sure Zayne would have even stronger words for me.When we walked through the front door, Zayne was sitting in the living room with a book in his lap, but I could tell he hadn’t been reading. He looked up as soon as we entered, his eyes immediately finding mine.“How was school?” he asked, but his tone suggested he already knew there had been some kind of problem.“Well,” Steve said, dropping his backpack by the door, “Irish almost ruined us.”I felt my jaw clench. “I didn’t ruin anything,” I protested.Zayne closed his book and set it aside, giving me his full attention. “What happened?”Steve began explaining everything that had occurred at school.“Then these girls behind us started gossiping,” Stev
