"Kenapa kau baru datang, sih? Salah satu tangannya memiliki 6 jari. Alenta pun sulit untuk menemukan pekerjaan, sehingga begitu Julia melahirkan, Alenta langsung diminta untuk menjadi babysitter Elea. "Ck! Sudahlah! Malas aku melihatmu lama-lama,” ucap Julia tiba-tiba. “Oek! Oek!” Suara tangis Elea tiba-tiba terdengar. Alenta sontak berhenti dari pekerjaannya. Dia pikir Julia pasti membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama untuk mengenakan make-up, seperti biasa. Sangat berbahaya jika Elea sendiri. Cepat katakan sesuatu, jangan diam saja!" cecarnya. “Ibu, maafkan aku–” Plak!Chapter 6“Hmm…” Damien murmured, the corners of his mouth curving in amusement.“Hide that shotgun. You’re scaring someone,” he warned his assistant.“But it’s a registered gun—” J-Bounce started, but his words died in his throat as he lifted his head and saw Rose. His jaw dropped, and shock took over his entire body.“And who said I’m afraid of that?” Rose smirked, reaching into her bag and pulling out an object that also resembled a shotgun. “I have this!” She pointed it at them.“That’s a pepper spray!” J-Bounce shrieked, immediately hiding behind his master, clutching Damien’s coat like a lifeline. “I’m allergic to that thing… I hate it! Ask her to drop it, pleaseee…” He whimpered, and actual tears slipped from his eyes.Just then, the elevator halted at its destination. To Rose’s surprise, five of her employees stood outside, waiting. As the doors slid open, they saw their Lady Boss pointing a “weapon” at two impeccably dressed gentlemen, who were obviously there for business.I
Chapter 5Rose’s POV“Mm… no… no…” I shook my head, realizing he hadn’t even kissed me or unbuttoned my suit. Yet, his face kept coming closer, his red lips slightly protruding.“Let go of me before I press charges against you!” With a surge of energy from an unknown source, I yanked myself free.“Press charges against me? Ha!” He let out a devilish laugh, shoving his hands into his pockets. “Wow, you’ve changed—and for the better. I can see you’re a strong woman now.”I refused to respond. He began strolling around my office, casually observing the awards and artifacts I had accumulated over the years. Pausing behind one, he sharply turned toward me.“How much for this?”“That’s not for sale,” I said firmly, watching his every move. Why was he walking around my office like he owned the place? As he moved closer, his cologne filled my nostrils, triggering a flood of unwanted memories—how he had treated me, how he had broken me. The past played in my mind like a cruel movie.“Get out.
Chapter 4 – The Woman I Have Become I climbed a tree, tied the rope around my neck, and jumped but I rested in a man’s arms. He nippily cut the rope with a knife he was holding. I could not see anything again since I was worn out. The man in whose arm I was saved was unknown until the next morning. “Rose.” He called, “You stupidly wanted to leave me alone?'' It was Mike's voice, a neighbor's squeamish son who suffered lung disease. We lived for almost sixteen years, then he left for Europe. I didn't know he was even back until he saved me. “I don't have any option, Mark.” All this while, what I did best was cry and shed pools of tears. After staying about a week with him, he asked me to go live with a family friend because he was going back to Europe to check on his health, and wouldn’t return anytime soon. But I still couldn't believe that my father who loved me could throw me out just like that so I went back to him. From his actions, and how he was packing up, I knew he
Chapter 3 – On The Run “Don’t do it, Rose Sinclair!” Sandra boldly prompted, but I had no other choice than to do it. “Take her out of here,” Angela Lopez ordered for my friend to be taken out. Our plan earlier was to meet Damien Anderson and not his mother. It looked like she was more wicked than her son. She treated us like unwanted branches of a sick tree. “Let her go!” with an untraceable sharpness, I signed the document, “I signed it, just leave her alone!” I cried, but it seems my words hit on deaf ears as the fat guy dragged her outside. “With the same effort, I dragged this lady into the car. We are going to the hospital to get this pregnancy aborted!” Angela commanded the fat man again. He worked like a robot as he had no pity for me. “Damien Anderson,” I called, he gave me his back as I got closer to the door, “is this what it's supposed to be?” The man dragged me into a car. Sandra was not nowhere to be found on the compound, maybe they sent her back to school. **
Chapter 2 Going Back to His HouseAs I run and looked back, I realized he stopped at once as he looked at me. A white car was approaching from my front, “The police!” I run to them and when I was about reporting, he took to his heels. I reached my hostel still crying and broken like a jailbird and thinking about all that had happened that day. I felt that I was in danger. My only hope was shuttering before me. I needed to act wisely as well. Either to abort the pregnancy and school or keep it and leave school. I sunk myself in my bed and wept as loudly as I could. Food? I had not taken even a drop of water that day.Sandra, my roommate asked and asked but I didn’t mind her. I dashed my hand under my pillow, drew the test tube I had used earlier out, and gave it to her to check for herself, “I am pregnant Sandra, I am f*cking pregnant!” I yelled, opening my mouth wide to let out some pain, yet it didn’t work as easily as I thought it would. The pain still lingered in my bones.“Who
Chapter 1 Birthday Night“Just abort it!” His cold voice brought me to my knees.“I can’t do this, you promised to marry me, Damien. Look! I still have the promise ring on.” I cried, as I held his right leg pleading for the mercies of my last hope to be married, “I am only a student but I can keep this pregnancy if you accept to be the daddy of this baby in my womb.” I kept crying and my voice faded in the process, yet he wasn’t ready to accept it. He was still on his sword-cutting words which stabbed my heart. “It was just a one-night stand, I put the ring on your silly finger because I didn't know what I was doing; girl! It was a mistake!” he forcefully pulled the ring from my finger and tossed it through his window, “take this $50,000 and abort it. I will pay the doctor; this money is yours.”Abortion!? I have known it would be detrimental to my health. After my last accident, I was told I can either give birth to just a kid or none but I couldn’t tell him this! What would he tak
