Chapter 1

Evangeline's POV

“Luna, the Alpha is having an affair with your sister.”

I grasp the wine glass tightly with my hand when these words echoed through my ears. My heart shattered into pieces, tears streaming down slowly, while teeth gritted in rage.

“With my sister? Adeline? Are you sure with that information, warrior?”

This might be a mistake. My sister will not betray me. She will not take my husband from me and she knows everything. She knows how much I loved him.

“I will send the files with you. The pictures are there, the affair videos, and even text messages. Everything is already compiled. Just give me a second.”

My heart suddenly skips from beating for a second upon hearing these words towards the warrior, the one I assigned to watch over my Alpha husband. I know he's having an affair with someone else, but I was surprised to find out that it's my sister. The only family I had in this pack, after our beta father died in the battle.

“Check it, Luna Evan. It's already been sent to your email.”

My attention moved to my phone, my body started trembling in nervousness. I don't know, but I couldn't check it. My heart started wrenching in pain. Hearing my husband and my sister's affair made my heart shattered.

I know it and I feel it. They were having an affair. My wolf deep within me snarled in pain of betrayal and this is already evidence that what the warrior had told me is real.

Therefore, I stood up from sitting. I threw away the wine glass and it created a broken sound inside our room.

“Tell me their location. I need to find it out on my own,” I responded, making the warrior agree.

He sent me the exact location of my husband and my sister. And without doubt, I move to go there, to find out the truth.

They were at the pack's hotel, which made me shake my head.

Room number two. The room that witnessed the betrayal of the two important people of my life. The one I thought of was my family.

I clenched my fists, as I doubted to knock on the room. But, I have no more options. I need to find out the betrayal of my husband. Instead of knocking, I kicked the door open, and they are here.

Naked, sweating, and moaning in pleasure.

When they heard the sound of the door, they parted away.

“E-Evangeline?”

My husband stammered as he mentioned my name. I smirked, but deep inside my heart broke into pieces. My head moved to where my sister is, and she's stunned.

“Why? Why did you two betray me? What have I done wrong to deserve this?”

It hurts and it really is, but I need to be strong. My husband and my sister couldn't see from me how affected I was. They need to see me as bold and unbothered. 

But I know I was just fooling myself. I loved them both and this revelation really weakened me.

“L-Let me explain, Evan. It's not—”

Drake, my husband, wasn't able to finish his words when I raised my hand.

“I don't need your explanation, asshole. Just answer my f*cking question!” I yelled, my eyes started to darken with these two. 

And then my sister laughed. She rose up from the bed, naked. I looked at her, to her naked body that my husband got obsessed with.

“You find out what you really need to know, my dear sister. It's now the perfect time for you to find out. Yes, Alpha Drake and I are having an affair. Oh, wrong. Alpha Drake and I were real lovers actually. But you…” Adeline pointed her finger at me. “You took him away from me just because you helped the pack win the battle? F*ck you! Drake is mine in the very first place and you know that!?”

“Oh really? I was the one who took him from you? Have you ever asked this asshole how he begged me to choose him? I was given the option by his father to choose whom I am going to spend the rest of my life with, and then he offered himself to me. It was Drake who begged me to choose him as my husband!”

Adeline shook her head, not wanting to accept my explanation. Well, I don't care anymore. The damage has been done. Alpha Drake and her just betrayed me and that truth will never change. Whatever her f*cking reasons are, Drake and I are married.

“Evangeline…” Drake muttered, his cold tone almost piercing my heart. 

This asshole knew that I loved him, yet he took advantage of that to hurt me. I thought all the words he told me were real, and that he really loved me. The two years of my life were only surrounded by his lies. I was fooled that he really loved me.

“Tell her the truth, Drake. There's no hiding anymore. Evangeline needs to know who I am in your life. I'm tired of hiding in her shadow,” Adeline mumbled, commanding Drake like a slave.

“You know how we started, Evan. It was my father who decided to pair us because you helped the pack before. We both knew that there's—”

And just before Drake could finish his words, I moved my hand across his face. The slap I gave him created a bang sound inside the room. Drake's eyes darkened, while I gritted my teeth in anger.

“How dare you say such words to me, Drake? I did my best to be a better wife to you. I served you everyday just to make you feel that I am not just good at the battlefield, and I am also a good wife. But still, you betray me. You never appreciate the things I've done for you and for our marriage. And what's painful? You chose her, which is my own sister, to be your mistress!”

The corners of Drake's lips lifted when he heard those words. He crossed his arms, his facial expression was just blank as he looked at me. The kind of look he's giving me now made me weak deep within. This is the first time that he looked at me like this.

“Isn't it obvious? I love your sister more, Evan! We're done. It's over now. I don't want you anymore.”
