With my chin up and shoulders squared, I walked towards the large fighting ring, the bow and arrows Caro gave me tucked in my hands. Officer Lyra was just behind me while two bulky Royal Pack parted the crowd. This place was so full for such an ungoddeslly hour! Whispers, snarls and chattering entered my ears, reeling my head.

‘Is it really the daughter of the former chief warrior? Is she really doing that?’

‘She came back after cheating on the Alpha?!’

‘The little slut is back and wants to grab the title.’

‘At last, some hope.’

‘That Alpha must go down!’

‘Focus Angeline! Come on!’

“That son of flea had the whole pack believing you cheated on him and left! I will bite him for that!” Cal growled, taking a fighting stance in my mind.

“It could be worse. Some of them see how Aaron was unfair. They need a new leader, Angeline. Even the ones who can’t see it yet, those are the ones who need it more. Your people need you to fight for them!” Dora coaxed like a cheerleader wolf. T
