Chapter 23

Lexi’s pov

“We need to keep our composure, Lexi. If anyone else discovers that they are gone they will attempt to take the Blue Moon Pack,” Nolan said softly.

Looking up at him with red-rimmed eyes and my bottom lip trembling I muttered a pathetic, “Okay.”

He pecked my forehead and attempted to smile.

“Go take a hot shower, Lexi. Everything will be fine. I'm going to try to contact Nathan,” he sighed then helped me to the bathroom.

Turning on the shower he glanced at me and groaned.

“Sorry about your mom, Lexi. Just know that she was a good woman and my dad loved her very much. She would have wanted you to stay strong,” he stammered firmly.

Slower tears fell from my eyes as I gazed up at his stern-filled features.

“I'm sorry about your dad too…We got to get Nathan back. The pack needs him just as we do,” I muttered sadly and Nolan nodded briskly.

Opening the shower door he told me to get cleaned up.

“Take as much time as you need. I have several phone calls I must make,” he announced
