CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

“ I have gotten some and will get the rest today with the help of Aaron”. I answered
“Aaron? Who is Aaron?” she wants to know
“ He is my ex but he has been of great help to me, he helped me get those things, and he will be going with me to get the ones we haven't gotten. He also promised to arrange the place for me, he is such a nice person”.
“ I would like to meet him, I am less busy today, I will also join you guys in arranging the studio”. She said happily.
“ Okay that's so thoughtful of you, let's meet by 10 am at the studio, I will send you the address”. I dropped the call and sent her the address.
I also called Aaron to meet us at the studio by 10 am.
I arrived at the station first, I brought out the list and started ticking the items we had gotten then Roselyn arrived.
“ Girl, this is a very good location for what you intend to do here”.
She checked the space of each department one after the other and later came for the equipment we bought.
“ You are doing well, and I must commend that guy who followed you out yesterday, he really tried, he got a nice taste”. She commented.
“ Hello girls”, Aaron said as he entered, I guess he noticed we were two.
“Hi, nice meeting you. I am Roselyn by name and you must be Aaron. Rachel told me about you”. She introduced herself to Aaron, that's Roselyn for you.
I burst into laughter as Aaron looked at me.
“ Pardon her manners, she is my friend from high school. That's the kind of person she is”. I Interfare
“ She is such a wonderful person, nice meeting you too”.
We all moved to get the remaining items and all went to the studio to arrange them.
We literally arranged all the sections in the studio.
The hair station
The spa section
The nail section
The reception.
Each section of the studio is ready and nice to look at, they are all well arranged, I am so happy and proud of myself thanks to my friends.
“Thank you guys, you are my family”. I said with a grateful heart.
“ What are we friends for?”. Both of them chorused at the same time.
“ How far have you gone with the staff needed? Roselyn asked.
“ Thanks for reminding me, I will need you guys to be around for the interview. Let's do it together. We can come together to choose the best staff needed for a smooth running of this studio. Will you give me the honour? I pleaded
“That reminds me, I shortlisted some of the applicants and I sent them a message for an interview on Monday already. Will you be available?. I asked them.
“ Anything for you Rachel”. Aaron accepted choosing my workers with me.
“I will see what I can do about that but I am not assuring you, you know I work for someone, I can't just leave my workplace for those little staff that need just a little opportunity to squander money”. Roselyn said and I understand.
Fast forward to the day of the interview, Roselyn could not meet up but Aaron was with me.
We interviewed seventeen people in total. Each candidate was called in separately with practicality after asking them enough questions and at the end of the day, we told them all we would get back to them.
“ What do you think about those applicants Aaron”. I wanted his opinion, I wanted to hear from him what he noticed about the applicants.
“Firstly, you don't need to rush, calm down, and go through all the points we jotted down and make your decision, I will be right here to guide you”.
“Let's order something to eat, I am famished”. He tried to order some food but I stopped him.
“ Let me place the order, you literally worked for me today so let me treat you”. I insisted
I placed an order for burgers and fries, a salad bowl, and coffee. The food arrived shortly and we enjoyed our meal. We closed for the day and both went our separate ways.
I got home, showered, and went straight to bed, I don't know when Lawson got home.
I woke up the next morning to Lawson talking to someone downstairs.
“ Good morning Lawson”. I got down and greeted him because I needed his attention.
“ Good morning, you slept like a log of wood yesternight”. He commented.
“Yes, I was so tired from the interview I conducted yesterday for choosing my staff for the studio”.
“ You are not taking it slowly at all, anyway, let's see how it goes”.
“ I would like for you to come to the studio opening, I will let you know when that will happen”. I really want him to see what I put together without his help.
I needed a lot of rest today from the stress of getting my items and equipment for the studio, and also from the interview conducted yesterday, so I will just freshen up, eat, and have enough rest.
“ Caroline, please get me something to eat later, I will just go upstairs and freshen up”. I informed her and she dashed to the kitchen immediately.
After eating, I gave Roselyn a call.
“ Hi best friend, you didn't bother to ask how the interview went, I am angry”. I lied
“ I am so sorry dear, I was so busy yesterday but I promise to call you later today. How was it?”
“Anyways, I would be coming to your place tomorrow for us to go through what I jotted from the interview so far and choose the right people together”.
“ Alright, I will be glad to be of help, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow”.
I texted Aaron also and thanked him for his time.
I was indoors for the whole day looking happy that my vision is finally coming to reality.
