109. Mason’s POV

I was with the last group that was keeping watch of the periphery of the coven’s jurisdiction and I was also to act as back up to Alex’s group.

When we were planning this, I wanted the three of us to be in the same group and so did my half souls.

But if we wanted to succeed, I knew that Tessa and Leo were right. We needed to stick with the strategy.

Leo was with Alex since they were like one. A beta had to stick with his alpha.

Tessa was keeping us updated with what was happening to her in the first group and so far, they hadn’t found Mara.

They had, however, found a secret entrance and it was she only who went down.

The wolves that were with her told Leo that after she stepped on the first staircase, it floated away and the place where it was turned to earth and the tree slid to place again. That meant that if Tessa didn’t come out and soon, we needed to look for the services of another witch who would help us open the door again.

But for now, that wasn’t even the pr
