Chapter 36: Christmas gift

We spent the next few days, shoveling a ton of snow so we could get out, we decorated the tree, made some cookies and wrapped presents. I’ve cleaned every inch of this cabin, we even tried to do some ice fishing but didn’t get anything. The days were relaxing but they were a bit long and I was feeling lonely, I would make it up the hill daily to check my messages and send my father a text.

He told me when he got home there was a car parked down the street, he had a feeling it was Darren, so he said he would come straight to the cabin when he was off he didn’t want to be followed.

That made me sad to think my father couldn’t even be at his own house cause or Darren, he made sure to ruin my life in any way possible.

The thing is Darren probably wouldn’t expect my father to be home early for Christmas so he wouldn’t be around I don’t think.

I’ve written to Steve every single day, just a little message to let him know I was thinking of him and what we did each day.

I called the jail to
