Chapter 35: First night alone

I showed my father my phone, I didn’t tell anyone my secret besides Darren and Steve knew, so I just clicked on the picture and what was written. My dad looked over it,

“Try not to worry Kay, I’m sure Steve can handle it a lot better then you. It may not even be that, there’s lots of fights in jail and a black eye isn’t much of a injury for those fights. We know Darren is a fucking liar, how about next time I’m home you go visit Steve again and I’ll stay behind with Jeremy. We can bring him some more canteen money for Christmas.”
