Chapter 63: Unexpected Visitor

The doctors began to prep me for surgery as Steve and my father waited in the waiting room. The nurse that was with me, was getting my things moved to a mobile machine,

“Your boyfriend seems very nice, you’re a lucky girl. I was working the night you came in and he drove everyone nuts while you were in surgery. He was so worried about you, and even though he was a mess none of the nurses wanted him to go change, there's just something about a man in a suit."

I smiled at her, “I wish I could remember him though, it makes things awkward.”

She smiled at me back, “Even if you don’t remember him he seems like the type that would do everything to help you remember, just like one of those romance movies. It's sort of silly but us night shit nurses all talk about it."
