CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE: Conquer

“WHERE is my mom?” I said upon arriving home. Even in the living room, I seem to get busted.

The house was so quiet that it almost ignited a shiver in my chest. I know that usually the house is really quiet, especially when my mom is not there and most of the time she went shopping. But it is different now. It felt weird and odd. The maids should be here by now, but there are no maids to greet me. Clean surroundings are swallowed by silence.

“It’s good that you came finally,” Bellevera said as he came down the stairs and greeted me.

I traveled for almost three hours and it was only nine o’clock in the morning. Sometimes mommy still had her breakfast.

I rushed at Bellevera and punch his chest as he approached me. “You are an assh*le! Give my mommy back!” I yelled as I can’t hold it anymore.

“You are insane, Celestine. I need to get you sane. You should remember you are a woman, not a man or lesbian.” He gripped my two hands and placed them behind me, then greeted me with a
