ALPHA WAYLON

Adeline rushes behind me upon seeing Jaxon with the weapons. I shield her with my back as I face my son.

"What do you want, Jaxon?" I ask him, already shooting daggers at him. My guards have already taken position, their weapons in hands as well. "Drop those things before I instruct my guards to deal with you!" I threaten but he won't relent.

He's clutching onto his weapons as if his life depends on it.

"If I can't have her, then you can't. She either dies, or you do...or I do!" He threatens me.

"Have you forgotten that I'm your father?"

"Oh no Alpha Waylon, how can I forget the man who brought me into this world?" He says while grinning.

"Then stop this madness and let's settle this amicably!" I try to reason out with him.

"I wasn't done talking, father!" He says after I'm done talking. "Well, all I know is that a father doesn't drag mates with his son. You should have let me have her instead of going for her yet you knew she was meant to be mine!" He says in a shaky voice. His hands are shaking too and the weapons are almost falling out of his hands. Yet, he won't let them go.

"You rejected her, remember?" I remind him. "It was so painful such that she couldn't hold herself together after the ordeal!"

"Shut the fuck up, father!" He barks at me but I just smile, humorlessly. He doesn't know what he's up to!

"Mind your language young man, I trained you better!"

"I've learnt from you, father and if you know what is best for you, just leave this girl alone and let me make her my Luna."

"Why am I even wasting time talking to you?" I ask as I signal Adeline to get into the car. "Guards, deal with this boy and bring him to the Pack dungeons for questioning!" I instruct my guards then turn to enter the car.

"If you move, I'll blow your brains up!" Jaxon threatens me but I don't bother talking to him anymore because I'm just tired of exchanging words with a brainless boy.

Before I even get into the car, I hear a commotion right behind me and I just smile inwardly when I see Jaxon being pinned to the ground by three guards. I don't know how they've gotten to him but all I'm sure of is that he won't escape their hands no matter what.

"Let go of me, bastards!" He shouts at the guards. "I'll harshly deal with you when I become the Pack's Alpha!" He adds, trying to throw his legs carelessly but all to no avail. These masculine men have already overpowered him.

I trust my men.

Well, it serves him right!

"Lock him up in the dungeons until he's calm." I order them and they bundle him into the second car.

"This is not fair, father. How dare you instruct them to lock me in the dungeons? I'm your son, remember!?"

"And I'm your father and I know what is good for you. Well have a conversation when you're already calm and reasonable."

"You're heartless, father! I'll die in those dungeons!" He screams as he's bundled into the car boot.

"See you later, son." I say to him then turn to my driver, Trevor. "Let's get going and immediately we get home, trace the car Jaxon had used and send someone to go and pick it." I say to Trevor and he nods in understanding.

He didn't drive here with his car and I wonder where he left it at. Well, Trevor will track it and I'm sure that won't be a problem for him.

Trevor drives off towards our Pack and immediately we arrive at the Pack House, he gets straight to work and starts tracking Jaxon's car. He finds its signal without much difficulties and I instruct him to drive off with another driver who will drive the other car back home.

Meanwhile, Adeline has already gone to her room to freshen up but I've already instructed Debra to help her pack her stuff and head upstairs to my apartment where she'll be staying. A room at my floor has already been made ready and comfortable for her.

Debra has also prepared a lot of food which qualifies as breakfast and lunch since Adeline and I had none.

After freshening up, Adeline joins me at the dining table where the food has already been served. Pamela and other maids have helped carry her stuff to my apartment upstairs.

Adeline and I eat as if we're starving and I'm glad when other Pack leaders join us. They already put on hold their daily work to wait for us and welcome us back. Ahw, so thoughtful of them.

Everyone in the Pack already knows about Adeline's kidnap by Jaxon and most of them are condemning the act in the harshest manner ever.

Even though he has wronged me and home against the Pack's ethics, Jaxon still remains my son but he deserves all the tongue lashing and condemnation going his way.

He's already locked up in the Pack's dungeons and I've instructed some guards to take some food to him. Knowing how stubborn my son is, he might as well refuse to eat the food, or even turn them away with harsh words.

Well, I've also instructed them not to banter works with him and that they aren't supposed to lay a hand on him. He's now unharmed and defenseless, he can't do shit to anyone!

"A penny for your thoughts?" I'm snapped back from my reverie and whirlwind of thoughts by my mate Adeline. I turn to face her and all I can see in her eyes is pure love, innocence and kindness. Oh, I wish I discovered all this earlier. Well, how could I have, yet I only saw her as my daughter and a maid in my Pack house?

"They aren't even worth that much." I respond while grinning and I part my lips to take a bite from her fork, which she's already extending to feed me. I take a bite of the pork chops and close my eyes as I take in its crunchiness and yummy nature. I can't help but smile at my mate for being so romantic. Well, at my age, I haven't even thought of feeding her as a sign of being romantic towards her. Well, I'll surprise her soon!

"I'm sorry for zoning out, baby." I say to my mate. "I just have a lot going on in my mind." I add.

"It's okay dear, I understand." She says to me and I smile warmly at her.

It's only the two of us at the dining table since the rest have gone to their various work stations to perform and deliver their duties.

After eating to our fill, we head to the couch while holding glasses of juice in our hands. I'm surprised to find out that we have the same tastes for various food types and drinks.

I love mango juice, so does Adeline.

I love pork chops so does she.

We both love spaghetti and meatballs and sauce.

In short, we have a lot in common!

I'm about to switch on the television for us to watch but I decide not to. Most of the Pack members visit the Pack House unannounced and I don't want them to find us here yet it's still early in the day. Therefore, I suggest that we head to my parlour upstairs so as to watch something over there and she complies without much questioning. Ahw, don't I just love her?!

Every Pack leader knows that today is my day off and I'll be entertaining my mate as well as getting to know her better, so I'm sure none of them is bold enough to go against my rules.

As for Jaxon, I've decided to leave him at the dungeons for three days and then ask the guards to bring him to me, that's after confirming that he's already calm and willing to reason out with me as the adult that he claims to be!
