CHAPTER 14 Release This Anger

  Elsie's POV

  It seemed I could do nothing right in Theo Warren's eyes. He was dead set against bringing me down, and every little thing I did he picked up on and scolded me for. I was integrating well into the Pack, providing what I could for my role, keeping Gracie happy and well cared for. What more could I do?

  Tonight was no different.

  After putting Gracie to bed, I went to find Theo as Kai relayed the message. I searched the house for him, he wasn't in his study, or the living room. So I ended up checking his bedroom. As I slinked down the hallway, passing my bedroom, this was the furthest I had been up this hallway. I felt like I was crossing boundaries by finding Theo's room, as though it was forbidden for me to enter.

  But I eventually found it, after remembering the layout of the rooms when Oris was sneakily hinting to me where his bedroom was located.

  Knocking on the door timidly, Theo ordered me to enter. His voice sounding angry, more so than usual, and I wondered
