Never Bet Against the Bennett brothers

Rina's POV

"Don't tell me you're shy now, Rina. You like to run your mouth, don't you?" Kelvin said as he stared at me, his cold eyes glinting with pure mischief and a mask of lust behind them.

Three men—my stepbrothers to be—stood in front of me in the small cramped room they'd forced me to stay in and stared down at me like hungry wolves.

"We have to make this wedding stop, don't we?" Kai said.

"A little gift for our parents on their wedding day. A video of all three of us fucking our precious little stepsister would really blow up."

I swallowed as I stared up at them. This had been my idea. Why? Because I just couldn't stop running my silly mouth. I didn't know the Bennett brothers would even take me seriously. Now they did, and it felt like I was about to pay for it.

Rewind, one day ago.

The Bennett brothers are the gods of Ice Hockey at Waterside College, which is also an elite college. I had no idea how my mom was able to afford my tuition, but then, I would soon find out.

Naturally, I didn't belong, which made me an object spoiled rich kids used to… satisfy their boredom. And my biggest bullies were the Bennett Brothers.

Trying to make friends with puck bunnies got me exactly where I was right now.

"Hey! Riri, when's the beer coming up?" Some players on the team yelled from inside the room.

"Coming right up," I yelled back, trying to get my voice across the loud music and thumping beats of the speaker. I immediately took a tray and set cans of beer on it. I squeezed through bodies and people making out, dry humping publicly, with no sense of shame.

I took the beer to the room filled with the inner circle, as they called it. This was my target. The elite inner circle of Waterside. Two Hockey players that were NHL prospects, two cheerleaders aka puck bunnies, two swimmers, and at the top of the association—the Bennett brothers. And Cherry, Kanye's girlfriend.

Kanye was the eldest and, as rumors had it, the most ruthless of the three brothers.

"I'm sorry. There was a slight obstruction." I smiled, but they weren't listening to me. I took in the huge room.

They had just won the hockey season and threw a large party to celebrate it. I turned to the other side of the room and saw Cherry, her head atop Kanye's chest, showing him something on her phone screen.

Cherry was my goal. She had bullied me to the point I needed therapy in high school. I vowed to pay her back, just in double, and take everything she ever had. Make it mine. But I couldn't follow her to her super rich college. So when my mom had suggested going there, I knew fate was on my side.

Naturally, I began sucking up to Cherry until I got accepted into her circle. Not accepted—used by them all. But it's fine. Nothing would stop me from taking her life. Her popularity, her place on the Hall of Fame and cheerleading team.

And most importantly, her boyfriend.

"Don't you think you try too hard?" Carter, one of the guys on the team, gestured to me. I smiled and slipped out of his eyes.

The only time someone would get to have a go with me was if you could help me get my goal. And Carter couldn't.

What was the point of it all? Just to see the look of pure helplessness on Cherry's face. For every scar she put on my body.

For now, I had to set to work. I went out of the room and went to the toilet where I knew all the gossip would be happening. Girls who wanted to be Cherry and hated her for not being her. Gossips and fake social media posts about her? I never started those though.

I only added the right amount of fuel. I sat in one of the stalls and let their conversation drift to my ears.

"Did you see what she wore and how she's totally all over Kanye?" A girl said, and I heard a scoff.

"Don't even get me started on her pathetic little act. She's really a slut. She should have come naked to the party. Her body isn't even that nice."

"It's not nice at all. I don't even know what Kanye sees in her."

"Do you think he cares? He cheats on her, but she just looks the other way. That's how desperate she is."

This was my chance. Their hatred was brewing to a certain level. I wouldn't dare join them—a contradiction would only make them get mad.

"But I heard he really loves her. He's never cheated once, and he's been with her the longest." Painful as it sounded, it was true. Kanye might be really in love with Cherry. Even if she was a witch. Well, he was even worse.

"That's not true! You don't know what I heard about her. There's no way he loves her… that's disgusting."

I felt a smile form on my lips.

"Well, that's what I thought. He seems to be all over her."

"You're saying that because you don't know anything." She almost yelled at me, and I tried to keep from laughing.

"What did you hear?"

There was silence on the other end. Whatever she heard, she wouldn't tell me easily. I had to push her a little.

"Lol, you're all talk. If you hate her without any proof, it just means you're below her."

"As if. She's beneath me! You think she's dating only Kanye? She's dating them all!"

I paused, a faint sound of a bell ringing somewhere in my head.

I switched on my phone and put on the recording.

"What do you mean?"

"She fucks them all. The Bennett brothers, that's the only reason why Kanye is still with her. I heard they have a kink of sharing everything down to the women they claim to love."

I gasped and slapped my hand over my mouth. This was huge. If this recording just very accidentally got to the right source, this would be close to the end.

"I think that's just how she is. We used to go to high school together. And she often shared with men," I said. It wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the whole truth either. She did two-time.

I expected a shocked reply from the girls but heard nothing. Instead, I heard a gasp and footsteps scurrying out. I raised a brow in confusion, and just then I heard a loud bang on the door and flinched immediately.

I stood up and got out to see what was going on, only to walk headfirst into a hard solid chest. I winced and looked up and gasped.

Dark eyes stared at me, the coldness in them more dangerous than I would come to realize.

Kanye smirked at me wickedly, his brow lifting. "So it's you, the meek rat, who's been spreading those rumors about Cherry.”
