“I am willing to leave Bleiz.” My voice was extremely calm. “But I have one request. I want you to send me to a place he can never find me.”

Luna looked at me and smiled with great satisfaction. “Wouldn’t it have been better if you had been this sensible earlier? Looks like throwing you in the ice pond once has taught you to be nice. You’re nothing but a servant, and you really believe you belong by his side as the future Luna?”

“In half a month, we’ll have everything arranged,” Alpha’s voice was laced with contempt. “By then, you’ll disappear from Bleiz’s life.”

Walking out of the chamber, I stood at the entrance, my fingertips trembling.

Across the way in the crystal chamber, Bleiz was playing with his daughter, Mona leaning on his shoulder, smiling gently.

A family of three, a picture of happiness.

I stood there, my heart feeling like it had been ripped out.

“Nancy is back!” Mona saw me first and immediately sat up straight, looking nervous.

Bleiz almost reflexively handed the child to the servant. “Take her upstairs.”

His guarded gaze pierced my heart like a knife.

He was afraid that I would hurt his baby.

The man who once said, “I only want a child born from you,” now guards against me as if I were a murderer.

After the child was taken away, Bleiz walked over, reaching out to check my body. “You’re back... Did the ice pond hurt you?”

Looking at the man who had once taken ninety-nine lashes for me, I felt a pang of grief and turned my head to avoid his touch.

He frowned slightly and explained, “Nancy, in that situation, the more I protected you, the harsher they would punish you.”

“And we’re leaving soon. I don’t want any complications. Besides, the child is innocent—why would you...”

“I told you it wasn’t me.” My eyes suddenly reddened.

Bleiz seemed taken aback by my intense reaction, and after a moment of hesitation, he softened his tone. “Alright, alright, it doesn’t matter anymore. I'll forgive you.”

Forgive me? These words felt like ice picks stabbing into my heart.

He still doesn’t believe me.

Seeing the atmosphere becoming tense, Mona walked over, patting her belly and feigning sincerity. “Nancy, I also want to apologize to you. I was too anxious at the time. You don’t have children, so you probably don’t understand the feelings of a mother...”

Mona raised her hand and smoothed her hair. The wolf tooth bracelet on her wrist gleamed warmly in the light.

My pupils constricted sharply, and I grabbed her wrist. “Where did you get this bracelet?”

“Mona likes it, so I gave it to her.” Bleiz pulled my hand away. “What are you shouting for? What if you scare the baby in the belly?”

“Didn’t you say this was passed down to the next Luna?” My voice trembled. “She wanted it, so you just gave it to her? What am I then?”

I reached out to touch the bracelet, but Mona suddenly staggered backward, clutching her belly and crying out in pain.

“Ah... my stomach...”

“Nancy!” Bleiz pushed me away immediately, his eyes chillingly cold. “She’s carrying my child! Haven’t you caused enough trouble?!”

He pushed me rudely, and I was slammed hard against the corner of the table.

But Bleiz didn’t even look back. He picked up Mona and rushed out.

“Bleiz...” Mona leaned in his arms, crying weakly. “Will the baby be okay?”

“Don’t be afraid, I’m here.” Bleiz’s voice was sickeningly gentle. “You’ll be fine, and the baby will be fine.”

In an instant, Bleiz’s eyes filled with a trace of heartache. The entire inspection and negotiation went smoothly. Bleiz immediately decided to donate $1,000,000 annually to the school starting next month, requiring that all students achieve a grade of ‘B’ or above in all subjects. If students drop out for non-medical reasons, or if grades decline for three consecutive years, Bleiz will immediately stop all funding. The contract was signed smoothly, and the principal and accompanying teachers enthusiastically invited them to eat in the school’s newly built cafeteria. It was late at night when I returned with Lony. I thought that even if the inspection took a long time, Bleiz and his team would leave that day.But when I went back to the school, I saw Bleiz’s familiar back at a glance.I was too familiar with that back then.We had explored many forests together, he had prepared all kinds of surprises for me, and we had even made love passionately. But later, the same person did everyth

After dinner, everyone cleaned up and dispersed. Just as I was about to return to my room, the principal called me.“Nancy, I want to talk to you.”A moment later, I was holding the principal’s arm as we sat together on a bench in the corner of the playground.“Nancy, are you really not going that day?”The principal’s words were filled with regret. She had watched me grow up, and in her memory, I used to love joining in the fun. Now, I am almost unrecognizable. Moreover, I had already left, and now I’ve returned for the sake of this school and donated all my money to it. It would be much harder to leave again if I wanted to.So, when she learned that someone was coming to evaluate the school, the principal was very excited. She even immediately thought of me when choosing teachers to accompany the visitors around the school. The principal thought that if I went and was praised by the visitors, I might be transferred to another, better school and have the opportunity to see more of the

Through the crystal stone that Mona sent me, I saw the aftermath of Bleiz and Mona’s situation. After watching, I was filled with complicated emotions. After all, in my memory, although Bleiz didn’t love Mona, he still treated her relatively well for the sake of the two children. But I had only left for a short time, and the two of them had ended up like this. However, this has nothing to do with me anymore. After all, I still have my own things to do.I pushed open the wooden window, watered the few pots of flowers outside, and then put down the watering can and lay back on the deck chair, looking at the school surrounded by mountains. It was currently the holidays, and only a few of us teachers were guarding the small school. The sun made me sleepy, and I couldn’t help but think of the past. After leaving the pack, I followed the guard team through the jungle. When we passed through a swamp, one of the guard team pushed me into it, believing that I was too thin and would not survive,

  • No More Waiting   Chapter 7

Bleiz’s POVI held the farewell letter Nancy left behind and read it again and again.I recognize every word, but I can’t understand the meaning. The paper trembles between my fingers, making a soft rustling sound.A sudden, uncontrollable, metallic sweetness surged in my throat, and the world before my eyes abruptly began to twist and spin, colors peeling away, and sounds fading into the distance. The solid floor beneath me felt as if it instantly collapsed and melted, transforming into bottomless, icy, and bone-chilling quicksand.I am being silently and irresistibly swallowed and sunk by this quicksand, falling straight down into an abyss with no light, no echo, and only boundless cold.My world completely plunged into darkness.“Bleiz!”“Quick, call a healer!”...Overnight, my family produced another new joke.Yesterday, I left my mate behind at the mate bond ceremony, and today I’m desperately trying to get rid of my mate.My room is already a complete mess. Bleiz’s POVThe room was still exactly as I had left it; the books Nancy often read were still lying open on the bed, but Nancy was gone!I yelled her name into the empty room.“Nancy?”“Nancy!”My trembling voice echoed in the empty room, but no longer received a familiar response.Even if I searched the study, the lounge, the exercise room, and even the narrow storage room...
