Third Person's POV

Noah was beyond relieved when he was finally able to convince everyone not to give him a big birthday party for his 18th birthday. He simply didn't want it.

He knew he was leaving soon and the only thing he wanted was to spend time alone with his family, and that's what he got. They did all his favorite things that day. Starting with a big breakfast, followed by a few morning movies while lounging in bed.

Then shortly after noon, they went for a run. They ran to the lake, where they spent the whole afternoon playing in the water and napping under the shade tree after lunch.

Later that evening they had pizza and snickers ice cream along with a bonfire, where Noah fell asleep and had to be carried to his room.

For Noah, the day couldn't have been any better. It was absolute perfection!

As much as Thaddeus loved the day they just had, his heart aches at the thought that Noah's going to be leaving in a week.
