9-Aftermath

“Eric, can you hear me?” Temperance asks as she rubs his face.

“Alpha, did I get him?” Eric asks weakly.

Temperance smiles at him. “You did very well. You got Dean, but you were shot twice. But you got the video recording out and we caught Abner and Shirley because you hit the panic button. Do you think you can stand? We need to get you to the hospital?”

“Yes, Alpha,” Eric nods at her and she helps him to the stretcher. “I’m proud you will be my Alpha.”

“Thank you, Eric,” Temperance gives him a smile as they take him away.

“Trouble in the border pack is not good,” Zachary says, looking around.

“We should kill the Races now and show both sides we do not tolerate this,” Temperance says, looking at her Dad.

“I have Elder approval. Thanks to Eric, we don’t need a trial. He is a hero,” Zachary tells her.

“And he should be honored. After the funerals for Doug and Grant,” Temperance says.
