Melissa gasped as she buried her face in her sweaty palms. She kept muttering things nobody heard and they had to all stare at her in surprise.
"Oh!" Leah whispered as she faced Melissa "We had no idea"
Her arms were now folded under her breasts, her gaze kept moving from Melissa to Jake who had a pleaded smirk on his face.
"Alright!" Sam pulled Melissa inside "Let's get to class, we will meet at our usual spot to grab ice" she glared back at Jake "And jerks are not allowed" she stated.
"Unfortunately, I have to be where ever she goes" Jake replied with a smirk.
"Are you her bodyguard or what?" Sam asked in annoyance "You don't want to see what we can do? I bet you will hate us!!"
"It's okay guys," Melissa said in a small voice "If he doesn't go with us Williams might get him fired" She gave the girls an assuring look and turned back and walked in "Let's meet for ice cream" She pulled her dress down and ran her fingers through her hair "And no grand entry this time Jake"
All through the lecture, Melissa was sure to receive a lot of in wanted attention, Many even took photos of her. Lecturers even had to stare at her for the second time when she entered the class. Although she was late but no complaint was made after all she is in college.
She would clearly hear her name from the girls and when she turned back, she was sure to receive hot angry glares from them. If a look could kill, Melissa was sure she won't make it alive out of the school, at least not when she could hear all manner of ill things about her.
"I thought she was kidnapped" she overheard the girls gossip "She doesn't look like she was even kidnapped, well it is three weeks ago but something has to show "
As usual, Melissa ignored her, she doesn't want to cause another issue as all she could not wait for was the lecture to be over so she can go have some quality time with her friends. She was sure they had a lot of questions and she should as well be able to answer a lot of them too.
Immediately the class was over, Melissa grabbed her bag and head to the door until she collide with someone. After muttering lots of apologies without looking up to see the person's face, she walked away but stopped on hearing her name.
"Melissa Harts," Karen said, her face was clueless of any possible sign of emotion, "I think you dropped something" She slowly raised her right hand to reveal a necklace.
Melissa gasps, her big brown eyes went wide open as she rushed towards Karen who carefully placed the necklace on her palm and turns to leave without saying a word.
"Karen" Melissa called out, she hesitated as the girl gave her a cold gaze and she smiled "Thank you," She said.
Still, with the cold face, Karen nodded once and walked away, leaving Melissa to wonder how she had been too careless with her mother's necklace.
"I am dead!" Melissa exclaimed as she put the necklace inside her bag and rushed out.
She kept touching her neck, caressing Molly's Necklace and wondering how she had been too busy not to remember she had not seen the necklace in a while. The only thing her mother had given to her even when she had nothing.
"She is such a whore" She heard someone say loudly as they walk past her, she turned to see them glaring at her "I Wonder what Williams sees in this worthless nerd"
Even when Melissa felt the urge to yank the girl by her hair and slam her hard on the floor, she just kept her shoulders high with the most serious face she could manage and walked out of the building. On reaching the parking lot, she meets Jake standing in front of the car.
"Hey ma'am" he smirked as he opened the door "How was today's study?"
Melissa glared at him before getting into the car. Immediately she settled and he closed the door, she kicked off her boots and started breathing hard. She placed her left palm on her forehead as she sank more into the chair.
"Are you okay?" Jake asked, concern and worry written all over his face "Melissa!!" He rushed down the car and went to the back to meet her.
He rushed out of the car again and brought out his phone from his pocket, with his hands almost shaking he failed a number on his phone while watching Melissa's weak face. It felt like she is becoming weak each second and could no longer breathe."Pick up! Pick up!! Pick up!!!" He said as he shook impatiently, he went to Melissa again and touched her forehead "Hang on! I am calling Williams"
Melissa's gaze widened as she tried to straighten herself on the chair "I am fine, Jake" her voice Sound low "Don't call that jerk!"
Even when she couldn't keep her heavy eyes open for long, Melissa could vouch she noticed a faint smile on Jake's face. She place her palm on her stomach and began to caress it, she still couldn't get why she felt heavy even when she had nothing to eat that morning.
From where she sat she could hear Jake talking to Williams on the phone. Although she hated Williams or should she say she is mad at him but something inside of her is dying to see him again. To gaze at his hazel-green eyes and touch his face.
Memories of how they had shared an intimate relationship between themselves flashed back, causing her to sigh and feel disappointed. She couldn't even still understand what she felt for him.
Deep down she loves him, loves him more than anything in the world, and also somewhere deep down, she has this spot for Molly! She kept hoping she would see Molly and tell her how much she loves her.
"Maybe I am just a confused wicked soul," She said to herself.
With a deep sigh, Melissa closed her eyes and relaxed more in the chair. After getting to the position she wants, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
Sitting in the warm bathtub, fussing was all Melissa could do at that point. Not all weak sign is dangerous to a new pregnancy, especially the one she wants to get rid of. The most annoying part is that the Doctor refused to see her in private. What was she literally thinking! It's obvious that everyone knows it's not a good idea to tell your husband to be a doctor about help on how to get rid of the child she is carrying. Melissa closes her eyes as she tried to calm her nerves of not strangling Williams when she would see him. "I don't want to get married now" she grumbled aloud. 18 years old Melissa still finds it difficult to understand how Williams had planned what Happened so fast. The idea of putting the rings in her finger and claiming they are engaged made her want to pull her hair and scream in frustration. 'Why
"I have no idea what you are talking about?" Melissa looked away immediately. From the corner of Melissa's stormy eyes, she could see Williams move close to where and she did what she could think of, she moved away holding the towel firm. The last thing she wanted is to be in his arms again because anytime she does, she lost all. She doesn't seem to want to be near him but at the same time, she can not resist the temptation of rushing to his arms. "Melissa" Williams said calmly "You know I love you so much" "You are a bloody liar" Melissa yelled, she looked at him and sniffed "You are the worst person ever" she blinked rapidly, pushing back the burning tears in her eyes. Her gaze locked with Williams hazel green eyes, the eyes that had been her long-time crush had suddenly become her worst nightmare. If there was something she can change about him, she would chang
Melissa swallowed her unchewed pizza and almost choked. She blinked rapidly as she stared at Williams who had a faint smirk on his face, he waved gently and walked out the door. "You won't believe," Sam said cheerfully, "She said she has a huge surprise for all of us" Although Melissa seems bodily present but her mind was far, she literally doesn't know what to think about. Either she should be happy that Molly would finally come back or Be scared of getting seen with her pregnancy. Her heart stopped breathing for a moment as her lungs began to fail. A faint smile appeared on her face so she could match the vibes with Sam. Nodding like she was listening to the rest things Sam was saying, she brought out a cup of ice cream and began to feast on it hastily. "Dickinson, her stepbrother's birthday party is
From his office, Williams sat watching Melissa engrossed in what she was doing with her phone through his laptop. He knew she wasn't doing her assignment or not in an online class because she does that with a laptop he provides her after her friends left days ago. A faint smile appeared on his uncertain face as he assumed she might have resumed posting one of her red kinds of stuff. Even when she wasn't popular, she has a lot of followers much more now that the whole school knows who she is. His bride to be! The whole school knows she is his wife to be and he is proud to show her off. The only reason he took transfer is that he knew he would still be going back to Spain so he applied for online school there instead. The conversation with the girls replayed in his head and he became visibly tense
After noticing how engrossed Melissa has been with her phone and her choice of meal lately, Williams decided to join her for breakfast this morning. He offered to drive her to school yesterday but she politely turn him down, how strange! She even did that with a smile! "You don't have to stress yourself," she said "I rather have Jake drive me to school" Unlike before, she might say 'Go to hell, I don't need your ride' or her usual 'I rather crawl 1000 miles'. Williams belief it might be because he suddenly became too nice or the fact that Molly is coming back to Chicago. The necklace alone is enough to make any man jealous for the way she caresses it, if she caress Williams like that, things would have been more than fine. He remembered she said the necklace is a gift from a very import
Before Williams could finish kicking off his shoes Melissa had gotten up, she couldn't just wait for him for even a second as she smashed her lips on his. "You want me" Williams mumbled against her lips as he unbuttoned her shirt. The phrase 'less talk, more action' was the only requirement at this moment. Within the twinkle of an eye, their clothes were all over the floor. Kissing as their lives depends on it, Williams laid Melissa gently on the bed like she was some sort of fragile substance. His gaze locked with her as his hands wandered to below her abdomen where he gently inserted his fingers in her. Faint gasps escaped Melissa's lips as she strolled her waist, trying to meet more of his touch. She was enjoying his touch, every bit of it and she wants more.&nbs
Melissa woke up that evening alone on her bed, her body tucked under her warm duvet, heating her up. She rolled lazily before stretching to meet the other side of the bed. Her eyes flicked open, she stared at her side to find the bed empty. Quickly, she jumped out of the bed and began to look around the floor for her clothes but didn't find any. Instead, she found the arrangement on the side of the bed where Williams had supposed to be. "I am such a loser" she slapped her head as she head to the bathroom. Tears rolled down her eyes as she wondered how close she must have been to having intercourse with the man she hates to love. Her heartaches on how lightheaded she must have been to think that Williams would have something for her. At least, it could be that he came back to his senses and sneaked out of the b
With his back facing the door, Williams stood still watching the evening sunrise from the glass view in his office. The golden rays of the sun formed supernatural horizontal hills that seem to vanish gradually when a person looks at it longer than expected. Even when he heard the door open, Williams didn't turn. His anger and anticipation for what he would do in the next moment blinded him as he quietly wait for the person to speak. "It was just a suicide attempt gone wrong," The person said. Slowly, as slow as a snail Williams turned, he glared at the person. His intense gaze bore deeply into the person's forehead before he scoffed. "Indigo," he said gently. The man didn't say a word, he just lowered his head and stared at Williams's shoe. It looks like the shiny black leather of the shoe
