"I'm beginning to suspect your identity because of those words you said."

That was not Elijah's prejudice against rural folk. He had many servants who were from rural villages, but they were all down-to-earth and had never said such pretentious words.

Shawn was taken aback when Elijah said that. "I must have watched too many television dramas."

"I hope so."

The man in the wheelchair smirked. He turned around to look at Shawn's expression through the black silk ribbon. "I don't think it's anything surprising if you're not as mundane as I thought.

"After all, a normal person wouldn't think of marrying his twenty-year-old adoptive daughter to a total stranger to save his mother."
