44. Waiting Up

I sat in the living room, a blanket wrapped around my legs as I watched the clock, waiting for the Alpha to return home. I still felt like I was being watched but the only thing that gave me a sense of security was the number of guards in the perimeter. No one was going to break into a heavily guarded house to hurt me.

After a couple of hours, It was starting to get a lot harder to keep my eyes open. I caught myself dosing off and intervals so I stood up and headed to the kitchen to get a glass of water in the hopes that it would keep the dizziness at bay.

Immediately I stepped out of the living area, I noticed the overwhelming feeling of someone arching me intently ended. It was as though I only felt uncomfortable in the living area. I pulled out a cold bottle of water and emptied its contents into a glass cup, consuming it completely in a few gulps. After replacing the cup where I had taken it from, I headed back to the sitting room, determined to stay awake until the arrival of the
