Liam had not once purred. The evident vibrations circling behind his heaving ribcage startled him. But what made him choke on his embarrassing rumbling was Allen's statement.

"I haven't met anyone who actually liked my scent, let alone an alpha." Clearly, the omega was kidding. It was impossible.

"Are you kidding me?"

"We've just met. I do not entertain my new friend with jokes." A point was made, and Liam winced internally.

"I am sorry. It is just plain stupid to not like your scent or even judge someone else's scent." The alpha wished he could tell the omega how much her scent had affected her. How much her gum itched for its flavor.

"You are decent. Thank you!"
