I leave the restaurant next to my father after a long day of listening to his fake stories of how he survived his ‘kidnapping’, while taking care of Millie. It was a long damn day, but at least it's over now.

We both get in my car and I drive to his house after sending a quick text to Nukea to let her know I'll be home soon.

"I'm surprised at how well people are taking the idea of Nukea being their Luna. I’ve heard mostly positive opinions," my dad mentions as I drive, "It's a good surprise."

"It is. I guess our bond is enough to make them forget the fact that she's an omega and a 'Poor One'," I roll my eyes. My father just nods silently, "By the way... it’s funny how you kept the fact that Ruth is an omega to yourself, too."

"I wasn't hiding it, I just didn't feel it was necessary to mention it, especially after how dismissive I've been towards omegas in the past," he murmurs with a hint of remorse in his voice, "Being away from Greyhound opened my eyes a bit. We’re as
