Work It Out

When I wake up in the morning, it's a little later than usual, but instead of stressing about starting the day too late, I decide to make the most of it.

I relax against my mate’s warm little body and breathe in her sweet scent for a few minutes of complete peace before carefully getting up to start my morning routine, but on my way out, I grab Nukea's phone and turn off her alarm.

"Baby, you can sleep some more, I'll take the kids to school," I tell her after gently waking her up. Nukea sits up with wild hair and a confused face.

"What? Why? They have to shower, get dressed, eat breakfast and..." she says, trying to get up anyway, but I stop her once again.

"I know, I'll deal with it," I assure, "I have to learn someday, don't I?"

"Oh, Theo… you always stress me out when you're trying to do the opposite," she complains, but falls back on the pillow, "Do whatever you want."

"Okay, Nu," I laugh and move in to kiss her goodbye, "Meet me at the office for lunch?"

"Mhh, sure," she repli
