Nyx's POV
Starweaver Pack I eased myself into the bathtub. I had never used the bathtub in all my time in the starweaver pack. I only prepared it for the Luna or any of the female wolves. Any omega caught using it was always dealt with intensely. But in it I sat, on the orders of the Luna. I had soap foam cover me from head to toe. It had been a while since I had a good bath. The Luna could not stand anyone smelling horrible, so bathing wasn't off limits like having a proper three square meal was. Zoe walked in and smiled at me. She ran to hug me. I hugged her as far as my wet body could allow me, without staining her with soap. "Luna sent me here to prepare you for leaving." Zoe said, taking the sponge from my hand, scrubbing my body for me. She released soft whimpers that turned to tears as she washed my body. "Why are you crying?" I asked, thinking she was missing me already. "I wish you wouldn't be sold to the evil alpha." Zoe whispered. My heart skipped a few beats. "What do you mean, Zoe?" I asked, turning to look at her. "Alpha Caleb has been nothing but gold to me." "Are you that naive?" Zoe asked. "Have you never heard of the ruthless Caleb Syder?" "You're scaring me, Zoe." I muttered, breathing raggedly. My chest was beginning to heave. "The alpha that does the ritual killings? The alpha that's at the council of alphas without care? The alpha that does what he wants with whomever he wants? Can't you remember?" I shook my head vehemently. Nothing was coming to me. I could not remember anything about any of these. "Remember Amira?" Zoe asked. "Yeah, Amira." I responded. "She had her limbs disjointed from her body and her eyes gouged from its socket for ritual purposes." "Correct. Now, do you remember who performed the ritual?" Zoe asked. I closed my eyes to remember the incident. We only heard the news of what had happened to Amira. "Alpha Caleb Syder!" I exclaimed, seeing how done for I was. "He made an inscription of his initials on her head. Her head was returned with the C.S boldly written on it." "I'm sorry, Nyx." Zoe apologized again, before bursting into tears. She wiped my body as she cried. I was too dazed to cry. Too scared to cry. Too shocked to cry. I had just had my hopes thrown into the grounds like they didn't matter. I remained silent for the rest of the bath. I was unresponsive to all of Zoe's talks. I tried to console myself with the thought that it could only be as bad as it's been in the starweaver pack. The worst it would be is my death. Zoe dressed me in one of the female warrior's pretty dresses. It was her least finest, but it was the best thing I've worn in all of my life. I looked at myself in the mirror. My face was still a bit dirty. Not ten hours of bathing would release the stains on my face, caused from severe beatings and relentless work. I forced a smile before bursting into tears. Zoe walked in on me crying and consoled me. I was in her arms until Luna Cara walked in on us. We quickly separated from each other. I locked my hands together after cleaning my face and pinned my gaze to the floor. "Isn't this cute?" Luna Cara asked, laughing and clapping. "The shock on your face when you found out that he was taking you was priceless." So was the look when he shushed her up, but I couldn't speak. How would I explain that I wasn't shocked in a bad way until now. I allowed myself to think that I could have a better life when in actuality, only death awaited me. "Very soon, you will wish that I remained your Luna." Luna Cara said, walking close to me. She played with my hair and twirled it around. "The imagination of the things alpha Caleb would do to you has me pitying you." If Luna Cara pities me already, I might as well just die. "You will think of me and smile." She said, smirking. "But I'll be here, happy that you're gone." I kept my gaze on the floor as the tears that stung my eyes fell to the floor. "I wish you the most gruesome death there is." Luna Cara giggled, before dragging me out. Zoe followed behind. I zoned out and just walked behind her. I tried hard not to think about whatever comes next. It never went well. Alpha Harrison waved a contract before everyone and me. He then handed it over to alpha Caleb. I looked at alpha Caleb and I saw the monster he actually is. The scars on his body were now understandable. I could now remember all the times I had heard his name. None were for any good thing. Alpha Harrison handed me over to alpha Caleb and they shook hands. "I really hope the fortune you've spent on this measly girl is worth it." Luna Cara spat. "That should be my business, Luna." Alpha Caleb responded. He turned to look at Alpha Harrison. "Don't forget the things we spoke about. Keep them to heart!" "Yes, Alpha." Alpha Harrison responded. We were about to leave when several cars came at the gate. There were about seven to ten, but I wasn't really counting. I was trying to zone myself out of my misery when they came in. The gates were opened and they drove in. "I see you have other business. We'll talk later." Alpha Caleb said, approaching his limousine. I felt the need to drag things back. I just wanted to. I did not want to get into the limousine or anywhere close to Alpha Caleb. I stopped walking. Alpha Caleb's beta turned back to look at me. He gazed at me with disgust and hatred. "Keep walking or I'll make you walk." He said, but I did not respond. I stayed rooted to the spot, despite knowing that it'd only cause me more trouble. He walked closer to me and repeated his commands. I stayed rooted to the spot. He was infuriated. He was about slapping me when a voice stopped him. "You should not hit a lady." A masculine voice said. We both turned to look at him. Every pair of eyes were set on him. "I am beta Nicholas of the Windwalker pack! Alpha Kieran would like to have a word." Alpha Caleb was back already by this time. I wasted just enough time to get him angry and in need of an explanation. Alpha Kieran got down from his car and walked towards us. I've never had the privilege to see three alphas in one day. I only looked up to see this alpha's face when my heart skipped several beats. I could feel my being drawing to his essence. I could feel my inner thighs twitch just by gazing at him. My breathing escalated all of a sudden. He's the most beautiful man I've ever seen. His brown skin and his disheveled black hair were so complimentary. I was drooling already. I looked at his eyeballs and they were red, not the alpha wolf type of red, a more beautiful shade of red. An absolutely tall beauty. He stopped walking when his eyes met mine. As much as I wanted to take my eyes off him, I couldn't. "Mate!" He let out, his eyes not leaving mine.Nyx's POV Kieran had gone to battle, and I held hands with Akira, shifting the earth and closing it back, making sure to swallow the sea creatures in whole. I squeezed Akira’s hand, and together, we focused on the battlefield. The earth trembled beneath our feet, responding to our call. “Now,” I whispered. We slammed our free hands onto the ground, and the battlefield cracked open. Huge gaps split the earth, swallowing dozens of sea creatures whole. Their screams filled the air as the ground closed back up, trapping them forever. Akira raised her other hand, and the wind roared in response. It gathered around us, forming sharp gusts that sliced through the enemy ranks. Wolves and sea warriors alike were thrown back, their bodies were torn apart by invisible blades. A group of warriors charged at us with their weapons raised. Akira flicked her wrist, and the surrounding air condensed into a crushing force. They dropped to their knees, their chests caving in as if the sky itse
Kieran's POV I was unmotivated before, and maybe I had let them get to me, but the chant and the faith they had in me, made me strong again.“Ah!!” I shouted, and the army joined me in shouting. “Ah!!” They shouted even louder.“They've disrespected me! They've disrespected you! They've disrespected us! They've disrespected the wolf world!” I growled. “How do we respond?” “With fire!”“How do we respond?”“With rage!”“Today, we fight not just for our lives, we fight not just to see another day,” I said, taking deep breaths. “We fight to win.”“The odds are against us, but watch us place bets and win this thing,” I growled. “Don't die, and make sure you're there when we're celebrating a great victory!” I said, and they roared with joy. "The battle is mental, and we've won it already!"The roars even got louder, and I walked back to Nyx. “I love you baby,” I whispered into her ears.“I love you too,” she whispered back. "It's a full moon, so use the Red Alpha’s wolf. He should be
Kieran's POV I was beyond angry. I was outraged. The wolf world needed them too badly, and they just gave us up. I ran downstairs, taking long strides, and Nyx was behind me. I didn't take a weapon because I barely used any. “Let me see!” I growled, turning Jephta's laptop over to me. I stared at it for as long as I could, and it was true. They were all coming together, wolf and sea against wolf. My heart sank deep in my chest as every thought and option I previously had about winning dwindled with exceeding great numbers. My heart broke, and my body shivered as this happened.“Fucking hell.” Nyx growled beside me. “We've got to do something, and we've got to do it fast.” I was already flaming red-hot, with no other plans than to end every single one of them, but I couldn't fight the goddesses alone.“How many minutes till they get here?” I asked.“We've got a minimum of fifteen minutes. They're moving slowly because the army is exceedingly large,” Jeptha responded, and that had m
Kieran's POV We got back to the pack house early that morning, to notice that camps had been set all around, and even in the vast area of land. The soldiers bowed as we drove in. I walked side by side with Nyx, and Jubril ran outside to come and see us. “What's the fuss all about?” I asked as he bowed to greet me.“The council of Alphas are on their way over here, and the news says that they'd be here in about two hours,” Jubril responded. “Oh okay?” I shrugged, whilst Nicholas and the others walked in. I might have noticed Jephta and Kieran holding their pinky fingers together. “That's it,” Jubril said.“Boy, relax.” I hissed. “Tell everyone to ease up.”“No one should disturb me till I decide to come out myself,” I ordered, and he bowed. I let Nyx walk in front of me. We slept all through the night, and I watched her shake her ass as she walked. I walked up to her, and I gently spanked her as she walked. “Girl, the things I'll do for you,” I whispered, and she giggled.“Boy,
Kieran's POV Nyx and I were intensely kissing, and she was on my legs when Jefe stopped the car immediately. The force with which he used to stop had me shocked and surprised. I was barely able to stop Nyx from crashing against the board.I opened the block that was between us, and looked through it, only to see several of the water creatures standing in front of the car. “What's the matter baby?” Nyx asked, leaning into me. “We're under attack.” I growled, and in a jiffy, we jumped out of the car to see what was happening. They were just a few feet away from us, and they were all looking deadly and angry. They were as big as the wolf giants I had previously fought. Nicholas and the others came down in about two minutes when we were already standing outside. “They were lying in wait for us,” Nyx muttered, moving closer to me. “Merrow might have done us dirty,” I hissed.“She did say that she had made up with those ones,” Akira said, and I growled at the ones standing before us.
Akira's POV Nicholas drove pretty fast, his hands steady on the wheel as the car sped down the road. The entire time, we stayed right behind Nyx’s car, keeping close until we were absolutely sure we had made it out safely. The tension from earlier still lingered, but the further we got from the sea, the more it began to fade. In the front seat, Nicholas and Blue sat close together, their fingers intertwined. Sometimes, I’d catch her glancing at him with a small, almost shy smile, and he’d squeeze her hand in response. It was clear they were lost in their own little world, wrapped up in whatever silent conversation their hearts were having. Meanwhile, beside me, Jephta was completely focused on his laptop, his fingers moving across the keyboard at a steady pace. His expression was unreadable, his eyes locked onto the screen as if nothing else existed. I watched him out of the corner of my eye, waiting for some kind of acknowledgment, some sign that he knew I was there. But he ne
