Kieran's POV
Windwalker pack "Alpha, the car is ready to leave for the Starweaver pack!" Nicholas said. I took a deep sigh. "I'll join you now. Get everyone ready." I ordered. Nicholas bowed and left. For two years, I've been going round every pack territory there was, gathering soldiers for the oncoming war. A war that the moon goddess specifically came to inform me about in a dream. She came to me in several dreams before I could take it seriously. In her words, the wolf world might be wiped out if we did not fight this turbulent trouble as one. Ever since, I've had no rest. My search for a mate had proven futile, so I gave up. I ran my hand through my hair , releasing more deep sighs. So far, I've gotten more than three quarters of the wolf realm united and ready to fight against what is to come. Other packs fought against me, trying to have me killed. In most times, I have no choice but to end them. The Starweaver pack was one of the last few packs before I'd take my rest and get prepared against this incoming threat. "Trent!" I called. Trent appeared a few seconds later. My younger and only brother. "What's it again, Kieran?" Trent asked. "Keep the pack safe and keep working on getting more weapons." I ordered. "I'm guessing you're out again to rally more packs to fight the battle of the goddess." Trent sounded disappointed and disgusted. "If I had the choice, I probably wouldn't be doing this, so give me a break." I responded with the same energy. "How long will it take? A month? Two?" "The way you ask might make me even think you care." I scoffed. "This one shouldn't take much time." "Stay safe and be back quick. I hate ordering people around." Trent said with an obvious sarcastic tone. "Just remember we never treat omegas badly." I said. "Kieran, we treat no one badly, thanks to your stern rules." "The pack must not be breached!" I gave a warning tone. Being the strongest pack in the wolf realm made us more prone to attacks. Especially from packs that want the title of being the strongest. My constant leave of the pack made the pack even more susceptible to such attacks. I hated leaving the pack territory, but I had to fulfill the wishes of the goddess. "Brother, I've held this pack for months when you leave. I won't stop now!" Trent said with absolute determination in his eyes. I gave a nod and he responded with the same. We shook hands, but not the normal hand shaking. My hand stopped close to his elbow and his stopped close to mine. We then hugged and I was out of there. Hours later, we arrived at the Starweaver pack. I saw Alpha Caleb leaving. He has held hatred for my pack for all the years I've known him. I also have no love for him , especially with his ritual killings and his consistent breaking of the law. "Nico, get Alpha Caleb to wait. Need to speak to them both. Kill two birds with a stone." I said, through a mind link. Nicholas hurried down from his own car and hurried to stop them. By the time I got down, it looked like a scene was up already. I could not really concentrate because my heart was beating so fast that I thought it'd jump out of my chest. I was almost shivering, though I've been having problems with my health for a while. The pack's doctor called it a disease of the chest. It never really made sense, but it made me weak sometimes. This time did not feel like any of those times. This one made me feel stronger and more alive. I easily took steps closer, because I felt drawn to something there; someone. I was breathing really hard, looking desperately for what was calling my heart. Just then, did my eyes fall on the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. Our eyes were locked for a while and I could barely walk. I stopped when I got close enough. Our eyes remain locked. For the first time in the history of my life, someone looked at my eyes, not just as the red eyes of the prophecy of the most powerful alpha wolf. She looked at them like they were the finest things she had seen. She stood tall. Her pretty brown hair laid lazily around her face. Her Amber gold eyes had me on lock. She had the perfect body. She had curves everywhere and an even more pretty face. "Mate!" I said, growling loudly. Finally! Just finally! I have a mate! I kept walking towards her when I was stopped by alpha Harrison, the alpha of the Starweaver pack. I gazed at him like I'd tear him apart. He bowed almost immediately. "Get out of my way." I ordered, turning back my gaze at her. "I'm sorry, alpha Kieran, but she's already been sold." He said. "To whom? I'll buy her back in many more folds than you desire." I said, trying to get close to the pretty lady. "To me!" Alpha Caleb, my biggest hater, called out. There was a smug smile on his face as he spoke. He was enjoying what was happening. He sounded excited. "I believe we can talk about this and come to a reasonable conclusion." Harrison said. "The only way this ends is with my mate by my side." I spat, shooting a dangerous glance at Caleb. He returned the gaze. My eyes flashed back to my mate. She looked very scared. Thankfully, Nicholas had gotten between her and whomever it was that stood in between them. "I'd ask that you choose your words carefully, alpha Kieran." Caleb said. "She is mine already! This contract says so!" He waved a piece of paper at me. I growled angrily. "You really don't think I'll let a piece of paper stand between me and my fated mate?" "No, I don't." Caleb responded. "That's what makes this even more interesting." It's no news that Caleb wants my head, but this is not the day he gets to see that. The day never comes. My pack stood behind me. We were about twenty six. The whole of the Starweaver pack and most of the Moongaze pack were three to four times our numbers. But we had taken on worse odds. My pack spread immediately, just in case it came to the worst. Nicholas already had the lady in his hands and his hand on his sword. "So, what's it going to be, Harrison? Caleb?" I asked. "Because, this doesn't end, without me leaving with my mate." "Make your choice." Nicholas shouted.Nyx's POV Kieran had gone to battle, and I held hands with Akira, shifting the earth and closing it back, making sure to swallow the sea creatures in whole. I squeezed Akira’s hand, and together, we focused on the battlefield. The earth trembled beneath our feet, responding to our call. “Now,” I whispered. We slammed our free hands onto the ground, and the battlefield cracked open. Huge gaps split the earth, swallowing dozens of sea creatures whole. Their screams filled the air as the ground closed back up, trapping them forever. Akira raised her other hand, and the wind roared in response. It gathered around us, forming sharp gusts that sliced through the enemy ranks. Wolves and sea warriors alike were thrown back, their bodies were torn apart by invisible blades. A group of warriors charged at us with their weapons raised. Akira flicked her wrist, and the surrounding air condensed into a crushing force. They dropped to their knees, their chests caving in as if the sky itse
Kieran's POV I was unmotivated before, and maybe I had let them get to me, but the chant and the faith they had in me, made me strong again.“Ah!!” I shouted, and the army joined me in shouting. “Ah!!” They shouted even louder.“They've disrespected me! They've disrespected you! They've disrespected us! They've disrespected the wolf world!” I growled. “How do we respond?” “With fire!”“How do we respond?”“With rage!”“Today, we fight not just for our lives, we fight not just to see another day,” I said, taking deep breaths. “We fight to win.”“The odds are against us, but watch us place bets and win this thing,” I growled. “Don't die, and make sure you're there when we're celebrating a great victory!” I said, and they roared with joy. "The battle is mental, and we've won it already!"The roars even got louder, and I walked back to Nyx. “I love you baby,” I whispered into her ears.“I love you too,” she whispered back. "It's a full moon, so use the Red Alpha’s wolf. He should be
Kieran's POV I was beyond angry. I was outraged. The wolf world needed them too badly, and they just gave us up. I ran downstairs, taking long strides, and Nyx was behind me. I didn't take a weapon because I barely used any. “Let me see!” I growled, turning Jephta's laptop over to me. I stared at it for as long as I could, and it was true. They were all coming together, wolf and sea against wolf. My heart sank deep in my chest as every thought and option I previously had about winning dwindled with exceeding great numbers. My heart broke, and my body shivered as this happened.“Fucking hell.” Nyx growled beside me. “We've got to do something, and we've got to do it fast.” I was already flaming red-hot, with no other plans than to end every single one of them, but I couldn't fight the goddesses alone.“How many minutes till they get here?” I asked.“We've got a minimum of fifteen minutes. They're moving slowly because the army is exceedingly large,” Jeptha responded, and that had m
Kieran's POV We got back to the pack house early that morning, to notice that camps had been set all around, and even in the vast area of land. The soldiers bowed as we drove in. I walked side by side with Nyx, and Jubril ran outside to come and see us. “What's the fuss all about?” I asked as he bowed to greet me.“The council of Alphas are on their way over here, and the news says that they'd be here in about two hours,” Jubril responded. “Oh okay?” I shrugged, whilst Nicholas and the others walked in. I might have noticed Jephta and Kieran holding their pinky fingers together. “That's it,” Jubril said.“Boy, relax.” I hissed. “Tell everyone to ease up.”“No one should disturb me till I decide to come out myself,” I ordered, and he bowed. I let Nyx walk in front of me. We slept all through the night, and I watched her shake her ass as she walked. I walked up to her, and I gently spanked her as she walked. “Girl, the things I'll do for you,” I whispered, and she giggled.“Boy,
Kieran's POV Nyx and I were intensely kissing, and she was on my legs when Jefe stopped the car immediately. The force with which he used to stop had me shocked and surprised. I was barely able to stop Nyx from crashing against the board.I opened the block that was between us, and looked through it, only to see several of the water creatures standing in front of the car. “What's the matter baby?” Nyx asked, leaning into me. “We're under attack.” I growled, and in a jiffy, we jumped out of the car to see what was happening. They were just a few feet away from us, and they were all looking deadly and angry. They were as big as the wolf giants I had previously fought. Nicholas and the others came down in about two minutes when we were already standing outside. “They were lying in wait for us,” Nyx muttered, moving closer to me. “Merrow might have done us dirty,” I hissed.“She did say that she had made up with those ones,” Akira said, and I growled at the ones standing before us.
Akira's POV Nicholas drove pretty fast, his hands steady on the wheel as the car sped down the road. The entire time, we stayed right behind Nyx’s car, keeping close until we were absolutely sure we had made it out safely. The tension from earlier still lingered, but the further we got from the sea, the more it began to fade. In the front seat, Nicholas and Blue sat close together, their fingers intertwined. Sometimes, I’d catch her glancing at him with a small, almost shy smile, and he’d squeeze her hand in response. It was clear they were lost in their own little world, wrapped up in whatever silent conversation their hearts were having. Meanwhile, beside me, Jephta was completely focused on his laptop, his fingers moving across the keyboard at a steady pace. His expression was unreadable, his eyes locked onto the screen as if nothing else existed. I watched him out of the corner of my eye, waiting for some kind of acknowledgment, some sign that he knew I was there. But he ne
