Hermosa POV

I covered my mouth with both hands, afraid that if I screamed, people would gather outside.

Every step I took, I felt my heart tearing—not just from fear, but from knowing the man I loved was a murderer.

Cammy lay in a pool of her own blood. Whether dead or alive, he didn’t care. All that bothered him was the stain on his shirt.

Rapheal always loved appearances in public—a clean image, the perfect Alpha. That was how I fell for him, without knowing he owned the very club I worked at.

“Hey! What are you doing out here?” a security guard asked, walking up to me.

I was so lost in what had happened that I hadn’t noticed my surroundings. My eyes gave me away—they were filled with fear, the kind of fear that comes from seeing something you should never witness.

It took forever to respond. The security man looked at me with stern suspicion.

“I was… looking for the—ehmm…” My mind went blank.

If Rapheal caught me outside, he’d kill me. If he could harm Cammy, then what was I to him?

Without thinking, I ran.

The security guard shouted after me. I knew it wouldn’t take long for them to catch up, but I still ran.

Fear, hurt, and confusion spread across my face. Where could I go? Who would even believe my story?

My thoughts raced as I navigated through the crowd, the sound of footsteps thundering behind me—a constant reminder I wasn’t alone.

I wanted to rush back to the changing room to switch into something decent, but they’d catch me.

So I did what I knew best—I ran, blindly, on heels, wearing only my bra and panties. Cold sweat stuck my hair to my forehead.

I had to get help.

But from whom? Rapheal wasn’t an ordinary Alpha. He commanded other Alphas—they all listened to him.

Except for the Alpha King.

He had banned strip clubs after several she-wolves were reported missing, most of them Omegas.

But where could I find him?

My heart pounded violently in my chest as I ran. Their boots echoed behind me, closing in.

“Stop running, whoever you are!” My mate’s voice pierced the night. Cold chills ran across my skin.

We were outside now, but he didn’t stop chasing me like an animal. I knew he would do anything to protect his image.

The night was dark, the streets empty and deserted. Around the corner, a flickering streetlight shone beside a large hotel.

I knew Rapheal wouldn’t dare hurt me in public, so I ran toward the light.

No—my mind screamed against the idea. That wasn’t just any hotel; it was a gathering place for elite members of the Blood Moon Pack.

Rapheal would find me easily after all, he was the Alpha of the pack.

This wasn’t the time to think. It was either go in there or die without anyone finding out about Cammy.

I braced myself as I heard his footsteps getting closer. I walked into the hotel calmly, pretending I was just looking for a room. Even I felt foolish walking in like this, half-naked.

“Hello?” the receptionist, a young-looking woman, said as I entered.

“Hi.” I faked a smile.

“You don’t have to come in dressed like that,” she said, scanning me from head to toe.

“I didn’t have time to change,” I lied, forcing a grin.

“You sure know how to make an entrance—for something that’s supposed to be discreet,” she muttered.

I didn’t know what she meant, but I played along.

“Ah, yes, I’m so sorry.”

“You girls always keep him waiting,” she pressed.

“It’s not my fault—I lost track of time,” I replied quickly.

“Yes, you always lose track of time.” Her eyes narrowed with disgust.

“Here, take the keys. He’s in Room 202.” She dropped them on the counter.

“Who?” I asked, glancing back just in time to see Rapheal entering the lobby, scanning the crowd for me. I turned quickly to the receptionist.

“You ask too many questions,” she snapped. “We all know what you do in there with him.”

“I’m sure you do,” I muttered, snatching the keys. I didn’t want to draw attention.

“Hey!” Rapheal’s voice echoed behind me as I hurried down the hall, keys jingling in my trembling hands.

I scanned the corridor, searching for Room 202. My heart pounded harder with every step. I threw quick glances behind me to see if he was near.

Finally, I gasped when I saw Room 202 engraved on the door to my left. I slipped inside, clutching my heaving chest.

“At last,” I muttered under my breath, scanning the room.

The room was dark. I couldn’t see anything. I groped around for the light switch. Everything felt strange—yet strangely comforting.

“Have you forgotten the rules?” a deep male voice rang out across the room.

I froze. “No, I haven’t. I just…” I stammered, my heart hammering against my ribs.

*Whose room is this?* I whispered to myself.

“You just what?” Footsteps approached.

“Nothing. I’m sorry,” I said, my voice shaking.

“The rules were—you’re not allowed to see my face,” he whispered near my ear.

“Yes, I understand,” I replied, trembling.

“You know exactly what you came here to do,” he continued, his warm breath brushing my skin.

I swallowed hard. I wasn’t a whore like the rest.

RAGAL POV (Alpha Lycan King)“Yes, I know everything.” I rose from my seat, looming over the gathered council. “But I choose to keep silent.”“Alpha King!” One of the elders rushed forward instantly, prostrating himself before me. “I had no part in those crimes,” he whimpered, terrified that he might be the next soul dragged to the dungeon.Murmurs rippled through the air as the accused exchanged frantic glances. Heads bowed in collective shame. A dark satisfaction curled within me at the sight of their crumbling composure.I scoffed. They were master pretenders—every last one of them. “Then tell me, was it I who violated my own laws?” My voice, deceptively calm yet vibrating with authority, silenced the room.“Get up and get out of my sight. I have matters to attend to.”I strode out of the hall. Morgan stood by the heavy doors, one hand tucked behind his back as he executed a crisp bow.“The file on the girls, Alpha King.” He handed me a brown folder containing the background intell

  • Omega's Curse: Desired by the beast who shouldn't want me    CHAPTER FIFTY ONE

RAGAL POV (Alpha Lycan King)I donned the fresh suit and pants brought by my Beta. He stood outside the chambers, patiently waiting for me. What Morgan did today was the core definition of obedience—the exact kind of loyalty I seek. Those elders will soon learn why power should be honored. All of them knew the chambers were out of bounds for anyone; not even the pack’s personal maid entered here. They had tested my patience long enough—it was time I gave them a taste of my own madness. I yanked the door open, almost tearing it from its hinges in a fit of rage, the thought of the elders’ disobedience spilling through my every movement.“Where are they?” My voice came out deep and commanding. I met Morgan’s fearful gaze.“The main hall, sir.”“Good,” I said coldly, dismissing the lingering heat of my transformation to focus on those elders. These days, the plagues provided enough reason for them to wag their tongues against me. I would teach them how to kneel and beg for mercy. I smirke

Hermosa’s POVThe maid escorted us back to our respective rooms. As we walked, I kept a sharp eye on Lucy. Her face held a sense of calm—a serenity I hadn’t seen in her before, and it made me feel restless. Just before the maid could leave us, I reached out, grabbed Lucy by the arm, and dragged her into my room. I pressed my fingers to my lips, signaling for absolute silence. She closed her mouth instantly, her ears practically glued to my face, waiting for my next words.“Why did you have to talk?” I demanded in a harsh whisper. She breathed in deeply, her shoulders sagging. “He was going to find out eventually, Hermosa. I didn't know what else to do in that moment.”“You could have just kept your lips tight,” I heaved, feeling the weight of my mission becoming more difficult than I had ever imagined.“I’m sorry,” she apologized softly, her head lowering in shame.I reached out and raised her chin so she had to look at me. “It’s fine. It’s done now. Just follow my rules from here on

Alpha King POVI snatched the keys from the desk, my movements urgent as I headed straight toward the sanctuary of my private chamber. A sharp, searing pain doubled me over, radiating deep within my abdomen as I clutched at my stomach, trying to hold myself together.I hated this. I hated not being in complete control of my own body. The staircase seemed to wobble beneath my feet, swaying like a ship in a storm, and my hands gripped the railings tightly just in case I lost my balance and tumbled down.Taking just a few steps more, I stopped to breathe in deeply, trying to steady my racing heart. Under normal circumstances, the transformation would take a grueling three to four hours to fully set in, but today, everything seemed to be accelerating at a terrifying pace.I made a mental note to visit the witch for more vials today; clearly, the dosage wasn't holding. My knees trembled, threatening to give way with every step I took; it required every ounce of my sheer will to keep on goi

  • Omega's Curse: Desired by the beast who shouldn't want me    CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT

Alpha King's POVI watched as they sat at the dining table, my eyes fixed on her—the one who had almost ruined my crotch. I laughed inwardly, enjoying this moment. When her eyes met mine, it was a startling connection. I knew she regretted that moment in the hospital, and I wasn't about to let it go, especially after saving her life. The dress hugged her figure perfectly, revealing a set of hips that swayed with her steps, her long, thick hair covering her shoulder blades. I leaned back, enjoying my view. She looked really good compared to the last time I had found her—more dead than alive. I grabbed a glass of wine, sipping it slowly while watching her like a hawk. She shifted awkwardly on her seat, fueling my suspicion. It wasn't sheer coincidence that I had rescued her.It seemed planned. The rooftop, the awkward guard, and Rapheal's cold gaze directed at her.Her eyes were firmly on her plate, as if something interesting was going on that I couldn't see. The knife in her hand furi

Hermosa's POVThat night, I followed the Alpha King back to his pack. I could still feel Raphael's deadly stare behind me as the Alpha King carried me into his car. I reasoned that it was better to stay with a killer than with someone like Raphael. Exhausted, I slept through the drive back to the Alpha King’s compound.I opened my eyes to unfamiliar ceilings and the scent of fresh flowers—a jarring reminder that I was not in my house, and certainly not in Raphael's.The morning light poured through the tall windows, casting a beautiful glow over the room. I strained to recall yesterday's events and what exactly had brought me here. Raphael's cold stare and the Alpha King's strong arms jolted me back to reality. I desperately hoped Lucy was also here, safe within these walls. My thoughts paused as a figure barged through the door without knocking.“Good morning,” a woman in an apron greeted me, bowing deeply.I stared at her blankly, confused by the sudden courtesy.“The Alpha King a
