Chapter 006

The bell rang and Maise had to leave for class, I promised her I would go to class also but I just couldn't bring myself to, sitting in an abandoned toilet till school was over sounded way better than going back to class to be tormented and laughed at. I couldn't wait for the day to end.

I put on my shirt which was now dried and walked out once I knew no-one was lurking around in the hall and everyone was in class, I needed air and couldn't continue staying in the toilet so I decided to go to the field instead that was where I had my lunch at the beginning of last session until then basket ball that team decided to practice there. 

I took a seat at the edge of the bleachers, it was a perfect position because no one could see me from afar, only if they got closer. I plugged in my earpiece and began to blast music into my ears just to return my sanity back to me. I was begining to relax until I look down suddenly and saw a figure below where I sat. I jumped up screaming at the top of my lungs, whipping off the earpiece from my ear to understand what I was seeing well.

I peeked under and my heart almost jumped out when I saw a pair of piercing green eyes staring at me and in no time I recognized who the eyes belonged to.

I hurriedly scrambled to pick up my phone and sprint far away from him before he started anything but I was too late and he grabbed my phone. He took the earpiece and plugged it into his ear and let out a smile while I watched him closely unsure what was going to happen next.

“You listen to the weekend?” he asked and I nodded slowly 

“You don't look like someone who has good taste in music” he laughed like he just told the funniest joke

“Please can I have my phone?” I asked my voice trembling as I spoke, I began to regret why I didn't just stay in the damn toilet or go to class instead of walking myself to the fucking devil

“This phone?” he asked with a smirk and just knew he was about to play some sick games 

My phone was gone, that's what I told myself but he shocked me and I was too stunned to move

“Here,” he said stretching the phone to me

“Take it,” he said when I didn't move and stood there frozen, I was hesitant to take it from him because I couldn't tell what he was thinking.

“T-thank you” I stuttered, taking the phone from his hand waiting for something or anything to happen but nothing happened, the phone was in my hand and he kept looking at me wearing a weird ass smile that creeped me out.

“There is a party at my house tonight you should come” he said and I turned around just to confirm I was the person he was speaking to and there was no someone else behind or around it was just me. It was so odd that I couldn't wrap my head around it, maybe it was another of his sick games so I took to my heels running far away from him. I wasn't going to lurk around to find out what was going on.

I returned to my spot which was the abandoned toilet and stayed there until I heard the bell that indicated the end of school. I let out a deep breath, happy that I could finally leave the hellhole. I waited a bit for the hallway to clear out before heading into the classroom to pick up my bag. I got in to see my bag thrown at the corner of the class while the contents were scattered everywhere, I stared at it for a moment dreading my life before picking them up and tossing them in my bag.

“Nova” I heard my name and when I looked up it was May and Kelsey looking down at me

“Hey” I smiled at them

“Those fuckers messed with your stuff?” May asked

“It is fine I'm done” I stood up throwing the bag over my shoulders

“How are you feeling?” Kelsey asked looking at me with concern 

“I am fine don't give me does eyes” I let out a loud awkward laugh

“Can we go please, I need to take a breather before having to return back tomorrow” I groaned, thinking about the fact that I had to come face the bullshit over again tomorrow made my head hurt.

As we walked through the hallway we noticed several people gathered by the notice board 

“Looks like the list is out,” Kelsey said

“What list?” I asked

“For the school play,” she responded and May's eyes lit up instantly

“We should check it out” she slapped my arm happily

“Why? Did you audition?” I asked looking at her weirdly 

“Let’s just see,” she said and with that, she ran into the crowd struggling through them to make her way to the front 

“Since when is she interested in the drama club?” Kelsey laughed before I could agree with her. We heard a loud scream that grabbed our attention, and we both looked ahead just to find out it came from May 

“You got the part” she squealed and all eyes turned to me, I looked around confused at what was going on

“Nova, you got the lead role you are playing snow white!!” she shouted making herself even clearer

Was it a joke? 

Why would I get a role?

Worse, why would I be given the lead role?

I never even auditioned, it had to be another prank to humiliate me I thought to myself and it was working because everyone had their eyes on me whispering at each other and sending death glares to me on something I knew nothing about.
