It was all going down tonight, I thought as I walked through the corridors that would take me straight to Zane’s room.
My smile was radiant, lighting up my entire face with warmth and joy. My eyes danced with the happiness which was radiating through me, and anyone who saw me in the moment could have sworn that I was flying over the moon.
Why wouldn’t I be?
After dating Zane for about two years in secrecy, I was about to get revealed to the whole werewolf community as his chosen mate.
It wasn’t that I had not wanted the entire people of Blue Heart pack not to know that I was romantically involved with Zane all these while, but I had to exercise patience. After all, he was the heir to the throne.
However, all the secrecy would change tonight as he was getting coronated as an Alpha and he would have to choose his mate before one and all.
At first, I had worried that about what the pack people would think of me and if I would be accepted as the Luna as I was only but an Omega. Worse, after Zane and I crossed eighteen years, both of us had realized that we weren’t mates. But Zane had assured me that he didn’t need me to be his true mate from the goddess as he would choose me over his true mate for the sake of how much he loved me.
I clutched the gift box I had with me even tighter and hastened my steps to his room. In less than an hour, he would no longer be the heir but the Alpha himself. I wanted to be the first to congratulate him on ascending to the rank before any other person would.
As I turned the last corner to his room, the smell of body fluids and sex filled the air. I got confused over how that could have been since I knew that no slave would dare to defile the Alpha’s quarter like that.
All the alarm bells in my head rung simultaneously but I still decided to shrug my thoughts off.
After all, there was no way Zane would disrespect me like that.
Rather than the quick steps I had been taking, I paused and then suddenly pick up the pace of my walking. By the time I got to the door of his room, I met it slightly opened, and that too with not a guard in place.
“Fuck!” A moan came from the room. My hands began to shake as I held the doorknob. Not because it was now clear to me that Zane was indeed cheating on me, but because I would recognize that voice anywhere in the world.
It belonged to my twin sister, Tiana.
“You like that, huh?” Zane’s voice came over, intruding into my thoughts.
With my shaky fingers, I held the door handle and pushed it down, opening the door completely.
Right there, on the couch in the room, was my supposed boyfriend and my twin sister, grunting and ramming into each other as if their very existence depended on it.
“You like how I fuck you, yeah?!” Zane grunted again.
“Yeah, baby. Fuck that pussy,” Tiana moaned. She released her hold on the couch edge and dug her fingers into the back of Zane instead, aching her back forward in order to give him more room to pound into her.
The box of gift I had in my hand fell, making a loud sound along either their animalistic growls at each other. That seemed to get their attentions and they looked up to see who had dared to intrude their spaces.
“Shit!” Zane hissed the moment his gaze settled upon me.
However, he didn’t move away from my sister or try to act remorseful at being caught in the act.
“Oh, you are here!” My sister tried to act shocked, but I could tell from her tone that she was mocking me about the discovery I just made. If her tone hadn’t given her away, the way her eyes batted at me was enough to prove she didn’t care. To further prove that I was right, she tightened the hold she had on Zane and pushed him forward so his cock could sit pretty on her.
“Yes!” Zane moaned shamelessly at the act.
To say I was struck with disbelief would be putting it prettily. I was so in shock that I couldn’t determine if I wanted to stay and confront them or if I just wanted to walk away from the whole mess.
In the end, my feet backtracked on its own and I found myself walking away. As soon as I was at the door and wanted to go out, Tiana’s voice stopped me.
“By the way, do you know that I am Zane’s true mate and he will be announcing me as the Luna in less than thirty minutes?” She scoffed at me.
The speed at which I turned to look at her was insane. I saw that Zane had already stood up and was now wearing his shorts, just like Tiana was as well.
“Wh-what do you mean? I was supposed to be the Luna?!” I screamed at my sister.
In all the nineteen years of our existence, Tiana had always made sure that whatever it was I wanted, whatever I chased, she got for herself, leaving me empty handed after that.
But why had the moon goddess decided to rub salt on my injury by deliberately making her the true mate for the man I loved? Just this once, why couldn’t the moon goddess let me win? Why couldn’t Zane choose me over her?
“Zane, please tell me it is not true,” I asked the man whom I had spent the day before in his arms, making what I thought was love.
The disdained look he turned at me was enough to give me shock. I somehow knew what was coming even before he replied to me.
“You think I really will choose a person with a weak wolf like you? I am going to be the Aloha in less than an hour. So, tell me why I will leave your sister with the strong Gamma wolf and choose you who has a weak wolf like an Omega despite being the daughter of a Gamma?” He hissed at me.
“But, Zane—“
“—Let this be the last time you will call my name with that filthy mouth of yours! I am Alpha Zane for you. Unless of course, you are ready to lose your life!”
Despite how calm his voice was, I knew that he meant every single word he spoke. He was going to kill me if I didn’t take the caution he gave.
“Is that understood?” He hissed at me.
“Y-yes, Al-alpha Zane,” I spoke out in shaking breaths.
By now, they were both dressed in their new attires that they have chosen for the occasion. They walked to where I was and paused. Zane simply looked at me and walked away. Tiana however leaned closed to me until her mouth was closed to my right ear.
“I won this one again, dearest sister.” And with that, she walked away as well.
AmandaThe moon hung low in the sky, casting an eerie glow over the battlefield. I stood at the edge of the clearing, my heart pounding in my chest. The air was thick with tension, and every nerve in my body screamed at me to run, to hide, to escape but I couldn't. This was it. The final showdown between me and Zane. There was no turning back now. I had to face him, to confront the man who had taken everything from me. I had to beat him once and for all.I clenched my fists, feeling the rough bark of the tree behind me digging into my back. I had to steady myself, to focus. The memory of Zane's betrayal burned in my mind, fueling my resolve. He had taken my family, my friends, and my home. He had left me with nothing but a burning desire for revenge. And now, it was time to make him pay."I know you're out there, Amanda," Zane's voice cut through the silence like a knife. I tensed, my eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. "There's no point in hiding. Come out and face m
ZaneAs I faced Amanda, I couldn’t help but marvel at the fierce determination that burned in her eyes. She moved with an intensity that caught me off guard, each strike delivered with a force that spoke volumes about her resolve. I had underestimated her, and now, as I struggled to keep up with her relentless attacks, I realized just how formidable she truly was."Is this all you’ve got, Zane?" Amanda taunted, her voice a mix of anger and sorrow. "Did you really think you could get away with killing Tiana?"I blocked her punch, feeling the impact reverberate through my arm. "It wasn’t personal, Amanda. You know how this world works."Her eyes narrowed, and she swung her leg in a swift arc, aiming for my head. I barely ducked in time, the air whistling as her kick missed its mark by inches. "Not personal? She was my sister, you bastard! You took her from me!"I couldn’t deny the truth of her words. Tiana had been Amanda’s estranged sister, and my actions had set off a chain of events
AmandaThe air was thick with anticipation, the kind that made your skin prickle and your senses heighten to an almost unbearable degree. I could feel it deep within me, an unshakeable certainty that Zane, with all his malice and wickedness, was heading towards our pack. This wasn't just a gut feeling; it was as if every fiber of my being was screaming out in warning. The battle we had both started long ago was far from over, and I knew that he was coming to finish it. My breath hitched as I considered the implications. Zane was not just a formidable opponent; he was ruthless and relentless, qualities that made him even more dangerous."Get ready!" I barked, my voice carrying the urgency of the situation. The warriors of my pack, loyal and unwavering, moved with swift precision. They knew what was at stake. "We cannot let him win. Not this time." My heart pounded as I watched them prepare, each one a crucial part of the defense that stood between Zane and our survival.Beatrice, my
Amanda As I lay on the cold, hard ground, my vision blurred and the sounds around me dulled, I fought to stay conscious. Each breath was a struggle, each inhale and exhale a battle against the pain that radiated from my stomach. It felt like I had been stabbed, a searing, sharp agony that consumed my entire being. My hand instinctively pressed against the wound, but I couldn't feel any blood, just an overwhelming emptiness. A hollow sensation that told me something, or someone, had been taken away from me."Beatrice," I gasped, my voice barely a whisper. The pain was so intense that it was hard to form words, but I knew I had to communicate what I was feeling. Beatrice was crouched beside me, her face a mask of concern and determination. Her hands moved swiftly, checking my injuries, trying to stabilize me."Amanda, hold on," Beatrice urged, her voice steady but laced with urgency. "You're going to be okay. Just stay with me.""No," I managed to croak out, shaking my head slightly.
TianaI stood on the balcony, my fingers clutching the cold stone railing. The moon cast a pale glow over the kingdom, a kingdom that was going into chaos because of my husband's actions. Zane, the man I had once loved, the man I had pledged my life to, was now a tyrant, causing havoc and destruction wherever he went. I had watched in horror as his ambitions grew darker and more twisted, and now I knew I had to stop him before it was too late.“This wasn’t what I bargained for? Why did he suddenly turn this way? I muttered.I turned away from the balcony and paced back into the chamber, my mind racing. I couldn't believe how far Zane had fallen. When we married, he was charming and full of dreams even though it was one to make my sister suffer but those dreams had turned into nightmares for our people. He had declared war on Amanda and her pack, accusing them of treachery without a shred of evidence. I knew Amanda and I was certain she was innocent. Zane's vendetta against her was pe
ZaneThe power coursing through me was intoxicating, a heady rush that made every nerve tingle with a sense of invincibility. I stood at the edge of the cliff, looking down at the world that now seemed so small, so manageable. It was hard to believe that not long ago, I was just another face in the crowd, another insignificant speck in the grand tapestry of existence. But now? Now I was a god, or at least something very close to it."Zane, you have to be careful," I murmured to myself, the wind carrying my voice away. I knew I was right. This power, this incredible, unearthly strength, it was a gift but it was also a curse if I didn't handle it correctly. No one could know the source of my abilities. If they did, they could find a way to strip them from me, to use them against me and I couldn't allow that. Not now, not ever."Zane," a voice called from behind, and I turned to see Riley approaching, her expression a mix of concern and curiosity. She was one of the few who had seen the
