Killian
The noise in my head makes me open my eyes in a gradual process, and everything is blurry at first but it feels like I just survived an accidentWhen the blurriness wanes from my eyes, sharp pain slices through my head and stays like a god-damned brainstorming migraine.
Placing my hand on the side of my forehead, I manage to stare around me and wonder where the hell I am.
The room is so tiny, even my bathroom is far bigger than it.
There aren't any valuables here, just a bag of clothes, a chair, and a table that contains a half candle, scissors, hand sewing equipment, and a plaster.
I rub my hand over my face, only to realize seconds later that I am on a tiny bed.
What in the world happened?
Taking the mattress off my body to rise to my feet, my face squeezes into a frown when I see that I am naked.
For the second time, what the fuck happened?
I attempt to stand up, but immediately groan and lay back down because of the splitting pain in my stomach.
Wondering why my wolf cannot help me at this point because the pains are still so excruciating, I grit my teeth then start looking at parts of my body, only to see some bruises which are being healed slowly by my wolf.
I stare at my hard stomach and see a plaster over it, but I don't bother taking it off because I have this feeling I'd be welcomed with more pain.
Just then an image of me driving in the night flashes through my brain, and I can remember everything.
I was attacked by an unknown powerful enemy. A wolf whose canines and claws were different from the wolves I've seen because they were metallic. Consisted of venoms which adds a stamp to the fact why I can't heal in a fast process.
I remember how I had run away from my attacker, after sustaining several injuries, how my wolf stopped at someone's doorstep, and I passed out after shifting into my human form.
But I can't deny I perceived the scent of a wolf even in my unconscious state. This wolf had taken me in and tended to my wounds. And I doubt I would've survived if I hadn't gotten the help that was needed.
I wonder who this wolf is, I can't tell if it's a man because the scent wasn't unpleasant at all. It was more feminine.
Dylan and the rest of my pack members must have been wondering where the hell I am, and I don't even have my phone to reach them.
My car got crashed by my unknown enemy, so I lost everything in it.
Being one of the wealthiest Alpha's in Chicago, I have several enemies, both vampires, and werewolves who are envious of my success. Running a billion-dollar company, estates, and luxurious hotels makes these people see me as a threat. And judging from the way I was attacked last night, I figured that maybe Chris Fitzpatrick was telling the truth. It might be that the same strange Alpha who attacked me, was the one who killed my workers at the warehouse.
At this point, I know I need to head out of here as fast as possible. I don't even have to see the face of my savior, but then I am naked. I don't have any clothes on.
Which means I'd have to shift into my wolf and leave.
"Fuck," I hiss out, grinding on my teeth as I fork my fingers through my hair in distress. Because I attempt to rise to my feet, but the sharp pain in my stomach is holding me back down.
"Do something, Walt," I yell at my wolf.
It's impossible, Killian. You have to wait for a few days before you can completely heal. My wolf replies to me, and I just shake my head at myself in pity. Because I should be at work by this fucking time, yet I am in someone's home like some cuddly giant teddy bear.
After several attempts of helping myself up, I finally did and then shifted into my wolf because I can't risk going out naked and having everyone see me like this.
I make use of the bushy part and run as fast as my fours can carry me, ignoring the dizziness that is making my world spin.
My run would've been less than twenty minutes, but because I don't feel so good, it takes over an hour.
The maidservants who are outside carrying about their duties stare at me in awe, and the guards immediately rush towards my side to help me, and I take this opportunity to shift back into my human form as they wrap me with their suit jackets.
The door of my study is being jerked open before one of my guards can open it, revealing Dylan, my Beta. A piece of bread falls off his mouth as he gapes at me.
"Christ! What in the hell happened to you!? We've looked everywhere for you." His eyes are raised in their sockets but they still manage to access my body in horror. "Fuck," He curses, on seeing the bruises on my body because being an Alpha, my bruises heal within seconds and it's off to find cuts and claw marks on my body.
Dylan helped put me on the couch, then clap his hands together to get the attention of the maids and cooks.
"Alpha Killian is not so good, prepare whatever that it is to help him recuperate!" He orders, and everyone dashes out of the study like their life depends on it.
"Call pack doctor Stiles!" He yells after them, but I put my hand out to stop him.
"The wounds are healing, but in a gradual process. So there won't be any need for that." These are the last words I speak before I fall into a deep sleep.
Peyton"Sorry, we aren't hiring." The receptionist tells me after doing a once over at my appearance in distaste."What about a kitchen assistant?" I implore, eyes red with frustration with a tad of Hope in my heart. And she shakes her head in disapproval.Letting out a low groan, I turn away from the receptionist and start heading towards the exit doors as I sulk at my ill-stinking luck. It's been seven failed job attempts so far in one day, and I don't have any cash on me at this point which makes things even more complicated. There are few vampires here with their pale skin and dark eye circles selling them out. They're five in number, three boys and two girls dressed in all black like rock stars, but they seem to be monitoring everything going on in the cafe, perhaps looking for a human who they'd feast on later.I bite down on my bottom lip because I don't want to think about Alvin, the vampire who killed Lancelot.
Killian"Who are you exactly and what's your mission here?" Tucksberry, one of the Blue Wave pack elders questions with his audible voice which is capable of stirring up fear in the hearts of vulnerable people. And there's immediate silence as I make my presence known in the council hall that consists of my pack members."Alpha Killian," Tucksberry acknowledges me, along with the rest of the elders and crowd looking at me with interest.I walk towards my reserved seat, but I don't sit down.Dylan, my Beta, and the rest of my men chose to stand at my side."So I heard there's an exiled wolf in town," I say, slowly curling my fingers and raising them to my face."Over there, Alpha." Someone points at a fragile-looking girl who has her head lowered to her chest.Wait a minute, that familiar scent?I can already feel her before I see her face."My name is Peyton Adabelle Barlowe, I am nothing
.Killian"So she's the one that saved you, huh?" Dylan asks me, referring to my mate, as he takes a swig out of the vodka bottle, before settling back on top of my executive wooden desk. "The whole pack members are still puzzled that you didn't pass on any judgment but dismissed everyone and took the girl away.""That's none of my business, though. If it weren't for her, I probably would have been dead by now. I owe her one." Dylan is already aware that I got attacked by a strange wolf. I want to tell him Peyton is my mate, but I decided against it. "And I was overwhelmed with pity for her when she told me her story," I explain then curl my fingers into fists. At this point, I don't even know if I did the right thing or not, by taking her in. But she's my mate, the urge to protect her is gr
KillianAnger stirs up inside of me."You have no right to come in here without my permission. Have you no respect for your Alpha?" I growl, but she only shoots me a smirk, showing that she's not in any way scared but finds my anger rather appealing. She's putting on expensive seductive clothing as usual, and I know it's to get my attention. But I chuckle inwardly because I am not in any way attracted to her. Will never be.Even though everything about her seems perfect. Body, hair, clothes, make-up. I don't care. She's not genuine. She wants to be my Luna by all means. And I wonder how she would feel if she finds out I've found my mate.
PeytonAlpha Killian's mansion is even bigger than that of my former Alpha. I can't start going into details about what the mansion looks like, but it's more like that of a mansion in a fairy tale.A six-story building that can house over a thousand wolves. There's a fountain of wolves, and statues of the moon Goddess, the Sun God, and werewolves who were recognized as heroes thousands of years ago.I haven't been inside the house. I'm still too scared to take a step out of where I was dropped off two hours ago.The pork-roasting sun is doing an awful job of heating me violently, causing my body to feel gummy and itchy because I haven't had any bath since last night.
PeytonSurprisingly my room is opposite Alpha Killian's, and it's just me and him on the third floor of the four-story building. It's something I'm not comfortable with, but I have no say. Although I'd have liked my room to be far away from his, but since I am his slave and I am to serve him, my room has to be close to his.I haven't seen him or his Beta since they dropped me off and left without speaking a word or two to me.James handed me a spare toothbrush, some of his clothes, and briefs since I don't have any clothes here with me. He told me Alpha Killian won't let me step out of here on my own since I am his slave.I am still trying to balance everything. This
Killian"There you are." Rein offers me a seductive smile when I make my way into my room. She's already naked under the duvet, patiently waiting for me to climb into the bed to join her.You don't have to do this, Killian. You have a mate whose room is opposite yours. Walt, my wolf says in absolute disapproval. The fact that she's yet to know doesn't mean you should act this way. You have a mate! He yells in my head.Blowing out a big puff of breath, I decide I won't listen to him. People are blessed with mates but I never wanted one. Selene the moon goddess already knows
Killian"I'm going dispersed camping in the woods with my men, after that there'd be a yacht party. So I won't be around for some time." I make this known to Peyton who has been staring at anywhere but her feet since I called her in.She still has no clue on why I called her in to tell her this. And I have no idea why she chose to ignore me when she is supposed to carry on with her duty just like I had told the kid to tell her.Right now, she looks like she'd rather be anywhere than here. Although there's guilt and fear masked up in her face. Fear of what I might do to her because of what happened last night.I am still wondering why she stood at the door and couldn't walk away even when I caught her. On the contrary, it would be a
