Chapter 02

Chassy came up with an idea that today she'll look for a job. She dressed up nice and she tried to look presentable as possible. She head out, didn't tell anyone where she was going.

She found this coffee shop who needed a waitress. She entered it and applied but the manager said she wasn't experienced enough. Then she found another one and then got rejected. And another one but still end up the same. She rested under a bridge away from the city. She wanted to cry at how a failure she is.

The thing she didn't know was someone was watching her. "What a lonely human," Austin whispered as he watch Chassy crumpling her resumé.

"Do you mind having lunch with me? My treat," Austin offered Chassy.

"Do I even know you?" Chassy asked slightly frowning. She wondered why random guys are reaching out for her lately. She's not even pretty.

"No, but I'm here to inform you that you have fifty four left," Austin answered, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"What on earth are you saying?" Chassy asked. She's too confused, she doesn't understand the guy.

"The kid"

"Wait are you the k-"

"Nope, but I'm here to explain. If you just come with me and have a simple lunch," Austin said. He can read on Chassy's face that she doesn't trust him and she's creeped out.

"I swear if you kill me, I'll haunt you," Chassy replied. Austin smiled and told her to get in his car. She was honestly hesitating but she did come with him.

After she ate, Austin asked her, "What makes you happy?"

Chassy stared at Austin. "Why? Are you like that kid? You're gonna ask me crazy things and then what? You gonna haunt me? Are you guys pranking me? Where's the camera huh?" Chassy continuously asked while looking for a camera.

"Woah! Woah! Lady, chill out! Look, do you have any idea what you agreed to?" Austin asked.

"What do you mean? I really don't get any of this!" Chassy said frowning.

"You saw Aikee" Austin saw Chassy is still confused. "You know that little kid who has hazel eyes and curly hair. The one who gave you 55 chance of happiness?"

Chassy didn't want to believe all this absurd things. It is mysterious but still! "So the kid was real? But why? Why did that kid chose me? And why are you here? Did Aikee sent you to make me happy? Explain everything to me!" Chassy demanded.

"Oh Gosh, didn't Aikee explain? You said yes to Aikee so how come you don't know?"

"Hey! FYI Mister Austin, that kid didn't explain to me! He just asked if I wanted to be happy then he disappeared!" Chassy yelled at Austin. It's not like she needs to make it her problem it's just it really feels like she's haunted. It bothers her that some alien who look like humans want to help her. It's just they seemed so creepy and she really really feels haunted.

Austin laughed sarcastically and that bothered Chassy. "Why are you laughing? Is this a movie shooting? Are you guys playing a joke on me?" Chassy continuously asked again.

Austin can't talk to her at the moment. He needs to go see Aikee first. So he did what he knows what to do. "Bye," Austin simply said and vanished.

Chassy gaped and her eyes widened. She felt the cold air that made her shiver. She couldn't even move until a waiter approached her. "Miss, your bill is 246"

She was more surprised at what the waiter said. "What? Didn't the guy who was with me pay?" She asked the waiter. Then the waiter shook his head indicating no.

She gritted her teeth and inhaled, calming herself down. She took some money out of her wallet and paid.

Austin looked for Aikee star to star and finally he saw the kid sleeping under a tree in the sixty third star.

"You need some explaining to do Aikee. Why didn't you explain to her?" Austin asked. He is so frustrated with Aikee at the moment.

"Hmm... because she's in a hurry," Aikee replied not even looking at Austin.

"Listen, she didn't want it Aikee. You can't force people to agree just because you want to help save our star!"

Aikee got up and smiled at Austin. "I'm not doing this for us brother. I gave her the last powder of our star because she's so lonely, she needs it. I see the whole night sky in her eyes. I'm sorry brother. I may be a kid to all of you but I'm Aikee of the fifty fifth star. I know who to give it. This time brother, she will set us free and we'll go home," Aikee said smiling. He was sure that Chassy is the key to keep their star shining.

"I'm sorry Aikee. It must've been really hard for you as the heir of a soon to fall star," Austin said feeling sorry. He hates the fact that Aikee's first mission will be the last unless they make Chassy happy.

"Nope, not hard at all. The prior Aikees have failed a lot that lead our star to lose its light a little but I'm pretty sure Chassy will save us. We got to try to help her first then she will help us," Aikee said.

"I will inform her. She has fifty four happiness left Aikee. A lot more and if she gets stolen by the moon I don't know what to do. We're done," Austin said really worrying about their star.

"We're not until we fail. I'm counting on all of you," Aikee said and disappeared.

Austin face palmed and sighed. That kid was always more mysterious than all of them. Someday their star will fall and stupid humans that they give happiness to wish on a dying star.

Chassy finished taking a bath and went out with only a towel covering her. Her eyes widened when a guy was sitting on her swivel chair. She thought it was Austin but when the guy turned to face her, it was another guy. She couldn't take the creepiness they were bringing so she collapsed.

Frost caught her before she hit the ground but then her towel fell down. So he couldn't even look. Then he heard foot steps that made him swore. The doorknob turned so he had to disappear.

Athena was surprised to see her sister on the floor covered with her towel. She thought Chassy was dead for a minute.

Chassy moved and got up pushing Athena away. "Did you see the guy that was here a while ago?" Chassy asked shaking her sister's shoulder. She didn't even care that her towel wasn't covering her no more.

Her sister looked at her concerned. Athena thinks her sister is going crazy. "Look, why don't you dress up and then get some rest for tonight. You don't have to listen to grandma, Chassy. We know how she is," Athena said and hugged her sister. Chassy nod.

Chassy put on some pajamas. She took a thick book in case those guys come she can knock them out with a book.

Minutes later she was still awake, she couldn't sleep knowing those freaks can come in her room anytime they please.

"I see you can't sleep"

Chassy immediately got up and looked at her study table cause it's where the voice came from. She was breathing heavily. "Who are you?" Chassy asked.

"You don't have to be afraid, lady. I'm only here to be friends with you. My names is Frost" A smirk plaster on Frost's face. It seems like this girl, clearly has no idea.

"Friends? Look, this is really weird! Why dont you just go home and tell that kid that I don't need his help and I take it back," Chassy replied still holding the thick book.

Frost looked at her intensely then smirked again. He stood up and walk towards her.

"Hey! You stay right there! I'm warning ya!" Chassy yelled, careful not to shout too loud or her grandma will hear.

Frost didn't stop, he came really close to her that her back touched the wall. "I'm not going to hurt you but you need to trust me," Frost whispered and snapped his finger that put her to sleep.

He took the thick book away and placed her comfortably in bed. Frost even covered her with the blanket. "Sweet dreams, Chassy" Then Frost disappeared.
