Chapter 15 - Brianna

Mason only left with my mate a few minutes ago but I was already getting anxious. Everyone in the room was looking at me but none of them would approach me or talk to me. It felt as though I was an exhibit in some museum, people would walk past me while talking about the way I was dressed and the way I looked. Some of them even pointed at me as they gossiped about me.

I downed the rest of the champagne in my glass, not that it was enough to have much of an effect on an alpha like me. I was going to need a lot more of those if I was going to rid myself of my anxiety. I was here alone while Mason was talking to my mate, probably convincing him that I wasn’t worth the hassle.

He would probably come back to the party any moment so that he could reject me. This was meant to be a celebration for my birthday as well as my mating to Mason and I had a feeling that it was going to end with me crying.
