Corey's POV

"So, tell me about your past," Jasper said as he sat beside me on the bed while I crossed my legs.

We'd bonded the few days that Kai introduced him to me as my nurse. Just as I'd described him to Kai, he was very caring and represented who nurses really were.

"There's nothing much to say. My ex betrayed me with my girlfriend and ever since then, a lot of things have happened." I briefed him, cutting short the rest of the story.

I wasn't sure that he was a werewolf and I couldn't risk telling him their secrets.

"Let's take a walk. Do you know this place so well?" I asked, eager to leave the house.

It would have been more conducive if Kai had been friendly with me, but he just treated me like a mere concubine that he could talk to any time he wanted.

"I only came here recently, but I also want to see for myself what makes this place so outstanding," He agreed.
