Chapter 9: One Touch : One Kiss

Gia sits motionless in the darkest corner of the gardens. Since she had slipped away from the doctor, she holds onto the photo like it’s the most precious thing. She treasures the little paper pretending its her daughter she was holding against her heart. She can feel her heart beat throbbing in her throat as her thoughts wanders back to that day in Doom Cemetery.

“Maya…” her voice just a whisper. She only nursed her baby for seven days before she left and never looked back.

“Bastard,” she hissed while remembering her husband. “You are the reason I didn’t see my child growing up. Now after many years; the first time I see her is on a photo taken by an outsider.” Silent tears stream down her face. After sometime she finally looked at the cell number scrawl down on the back of the photo. Turning the photo around to look at the face so similar to her own.

“Would you answer if I call?” she asked the girl who only slightly smile while looking past the camera. It appears she wasn’t aware of
