Asher's pov.

I went straight to my office after giving my secretary the day off. She had insisted on coming with me but I refused. She deserved to rest and moreover, she had looked like hell when before we left for Dubai she could visit the doctor on her day off. The way she stared at me when she assured me that she was by my side stirred up something in me. She made me want to trust again. She made me want to open the door I had shut since Sabrina left me standing alone on the altar. Lorie was innocent, she was pretty, however she always looks like she's carrying the world on her shoulders yet she still chooses to assure me that she's on my side.
