Chapter 9

The plane landed on what looked like a private runway. No other planes were around, and the surrounding landscape was farming. Countless people were moving back and forth as they worked on their land or on the tractors.

“We grow our own food and also distribute it. It is a large source of income for the pack. I, personally, have invested and own a few companies, but as a pack, we thrive off of those fields.” We walked to some golf carts looking things and got in. Jet was driving us as everyone else followed us.

A winding road took us through some trees and up a narrow path. The forest was absolutely beautiful here. Life was everywhere I looked. The thick green forest floor with the blooming brush barely made the rabbits and squirrels visible. A deer started running beside us. It was a doe with two small fawns with spots still. They followed us for a good mile before they stopped at a stream for a drink.
