Shaun’s POV

I was barely done with my food when a servant walked in, his expression neutral as always. "Excuse me, Alpha Shaun, the elders of the pack are waiting for you in your study," he announced.

I raised an eyebrow, surprised by the sudden visit. I hadn't scheduled any meetings with them earlier, and I couldn't think of any pressing matters that would require their attention.

"Tell them I'll be there in five minutes," I replied, my mind already racing with thoughts of what the problem might be. The servant nodded and backed out of the room, leaving me to wonder what this unexpected visit could be about.

Lucy looked at me curiously, "Did you have a meeting scheduled with them earlier?" she asked, her brow furrowed in concern.

I shook my head. "No, I didn't. I'm as surprised as you are. I'll go see what they want." I pushed my chair back and stood up, feeling a sense of trepidation. What could the elders want that they couldn't wait for a scheduled meeting?
