Prologue

"I now pronounce you, HUSBAND AND WIFE." People applauded inside the church. Everyone seemed to be celebrating and really happy.

I forced a smile even though I felt a mixture of joy and sadness at this time. This is one of the days that I have been waiting for and now it has come.

I looked at the man next to me. The smile that tried to cover my true feelings disappeared. First of all, I knew that he didn't feel anything for me. It was as if my heart was being pierced with so many knives to see him like this... Which was not happy at all.

I just tried to avoid looking at it and hide the tears that were about to fall from my eyes. I gently wiped away the tears that had preceded the dripping.

I looked over at our parents, who were happily clapping and cheering. I forced myself to smile and calm down. I took a deep breath and let go of the things that were bothering me.

He was silent, as if he were a statue standing beside me. When dealing with people who greet us, he remains quiet and cold. He keeps staring off into space and appears to be deep in thought.

When our gazes locked, my heart began to break. His eyes were filled with melancholy, rage, and resentment.

Is he really destined to be mine? Or I was just forcing destiny to be his?
